Why are people in Iron Banner so bad?

No seriously. Regular control is not nearly this stupid. Why do you need an entire team to cap the freebie starting point? Why does nobody shoot at someone right in front of them? Why do they walk past control points entirely?

Is it something about the event that just draws out the stupid, or am I missing something?

Each player inside a point when it is captured gets points. So you can start a match with a couple hundred points by having the whole team participate in that initial capture.

I figured that, but then the entire team is behind on initiative when the enemy has capped both theirs and the mid-point, making it harder to get over the hill. Because then them killing you is worth twice as much, and they have a better fortified position to hold. Especially on some maps.

Not saying a comebacks impossible, but I'm pretty sure these guys dont have it in them.

Capture Control Point IB bounty.

Why does nobody shoot at someone right in front of them?

Kill with melee IB bounty.

It's all about that Rep.

I'm sorry to be "that guy," but... Cody was right. That type of bounty does influence the way people play. I suppose each individual can interpret whether that influence is good or bad for themselves, but it definitely happens. Personally, I'm not a fan of the effect it has on matchmade teams.

If your entire team caps the starting point, then heads to the middle, you usually have 5-6 vs 2-3, and grabbing that middle point is easy.

(At least, that's how the last 5 or 6 games have gone tonight. ;) )

Eh. The bounty stops mattering after you get your 10 melee kills - but there are plenty of people who continue the melee attacks, because that's how they like to play. I don't see it as a problem.

There are always people who didn't finish it. Apparently, Mad_Stylus has run into a LOT of them.

Personally, I don't mind it much either, because it is never widespread in the teams I've been in.
