Tripmines already last ages, and raid gloves or trials gloves have the special weapon perk. You could be using something to give you radar, or free cloaking, or another golden gun shot, etc.
But, everyone has their style of play, I just don't imagine planning trip mine grenades 30 seconds in advance is a popular one.
