High (and low) points of a week in the Crucible (Destiny)
Between the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, the crucible dominated my playtime this week (not a normal occurrence for me). And I had a total blast! The Trials remain my favorite end game activity in Destiny. Had 2 flawless runs this weekend, plenty of exciting matches and fun with friends. Plus, this little gem; Cyber, Cody and I managed to claw our way back from a 0-4 deficit to finish with a 5-4 win. Most intense multiplayer game I've played. Period.
The Iron Banner brought its usual mix of chaotic insanity and fierce competition. Got my Warlock to rank 5, my Hunter to rank 3.
At times, my space magic was on point:
Other times, it was very much not:
Either way, I ended almost every match with a smile on my face.
Walked away with some great loot over the course of the week as well. Snagged the IB Rocket Launcher, the Shadow 701x (rerolled for full auto, explosive rounds, and army of 1), adept Jewel of Osiris and Summoner (both Solar damage), some ToO armor, and 9 pieces of Etheric Light.
So thanks to everyone for all the great games over the week. Looking forward to diving back in to the PvE side of things. Going to give level 35 Prison of Elders a shot for the first time tonight. We'll see how it goes!

I had a bit of a first world Destiny problem when Cyber, Cruel and I got there this week.

AAAAAhahahaha!
Laughing at the meme, not your misfortune ;p
Actually, a Void Jewel of Osiris would be fantastic in the Vault of Glass. I bet it chews right through Praetorians.

I played with Cruel and Munky this weekend. The both managed to get there but I started on a bad card so I wasnt on the same run as them........ argh

Then we get you there tonight :-)
Please Sir, pick me
I've been avoiding Trials all weekend, but I can't stay away. Ready to bring it with my Thorn, Final Round Efrideet and Golden Gun. I am a bad person.
Please Sir, pick me
LETS DO IT LICKY!!!
Been trying to get you to do it all week. So go sign up!!!!

I can relate to that last Nova Bomb so much

You miss every shot you don't take, ZD.

Apparently, every shot I do take as well. ;p
I kid, of course. Luckily, I have never missed a crucial Nova Bomb in PvE, just fun ones.
PvP, though...

My Death From Above was that Last Nova Bomb all weekend
I did this not just once, or twice, but three times this weekend while doing IB.
On the Cauldron I would run from B to C to do a fist of havok to stop the other team from capping c. However, I would jump up to do death from above and then promptly shoot into the rock right in from of me not killing a single person and then get shot up by 4 people. Talk about infuriating. Raga witnessed me do this twice in one match. This is one of those times I wish I recorded my gameplay just to have proof of my epic fails.

Heh. Yep. He seemed to be lined up properly, certainly wasn't pointing straight into that rock to the right of the drop off... and yet... he would some how end up nuking the rock instead of the crowd down below. :p
When he asked how to properly use Death From Above I said something like, "Well... you just point it where you want it to go..."

i can relate ;p
Have I told you how terrible a map Cauldron is?
It wasn't your Fist of Havoc - it was the map.
The map is evil.

I hate Cauldron.

I seem to get along with it just fine :)

I've had the occasional good game on it. Doesn't make it any less evil.
Edit: Now I've actually watched your vid. I can categorically say I have NEVER played a team so tactically unaware on this map. I am totally jealous of all the players who walked through doors not shooting at you.

It did seem to go that way for a while, didn't it? I played an Iron Banner match on this same map this morning with the complete opposite results. Every single time a door opened, 3 grenades would come flying though, past my teammates, and stick to my face. It's like the enemy team was going out of their way to kill me in particular. Joys of PvP :)

No, in this case it's the evil of Cauldron. :)

I love it when it's "Open door: 5 Thorn shots fly in"

Got there again on my warlock. Void summoner. Ugggg. :-p

I'd give my 2nd & 3rd char slots away for a Void Summoner

High (and low) points of a week in the Crucible
I enjoyed it too. By the weekend people really seemed to be hitting a groove and there were a bunch of fun and close games.
The less said about my time in Trials of O, The better.

Okay, that was a really GOOD game (for you)... but how do you see that as a CLOSE match? (This was a close match. :) )

Might I suggest snagging the permalink? :)

We just barely lost this one:
DOH!
Fixed. :)
(We even got comeback medals for it; we were losing pretty badly for a while.)

Being a close game isn't just about the final score, it's about being within a stones throw of each other during the entire match.
But I won't deny that if it had been an equally close game where I performed poorly I probably would never have taken the time to post the video.
