• Schedule them early. I've never not had people sign up if I posted them early enough. Really there is no reason to not have people to play with as a member of this community.
  
• The second thing is get a mic as soon as possible. It makes the game better. It's not a necessity, but it allows you to build relationships faster, which results in more invites. Most of my social play this week has been with people from England and Australia, so the time zone problem is not insurmountable.
  
• Sign up on the roster and send friend requests to those who play when you do.
  
• Stop whining. Sorry to be blunt, but really, you've got many potential friends here. You just haven't sought them in the right way.
