Easy Nightfall This week (Destiny)
Nightfall this week is ez pz.
The hardest part is the shriekers at the beginning who do massive void damage.
My first run I didn't even see Skolas in the last room because my teammates killed him in the time it took me to cast a bubble.
I got 11 coins, Dragon's Breath, Dragon's Breath.
Easy Nightfall This week
I still can't get the hang of the Tank room. Nowhere seems all that safe and the only cheese I know of can be so easy to screw up.
Easy Nightfall This week
I always just hang around the area to the left of the entry way, down from the entry stairs. You have a view through the railing to the far right spawn, you can look through the tunnel to the captains, and you're directly across from the right-of-entryway spawn point.
I usually poke out and throw some grenades at the tank and focus on adds. This week the tank goes down super fast because of the burns.
It's not bad!

Left of the entrance with Arc shotguns usually work for me. Clean up the adds, ping the walker, rinse, repeat.

That's probably because Skolas isn't in this strike. ;)

Oh My God I Spit My Soda. XD

On a side note: more badass looking, Skolas or Taniks?
I find it really hard to respect the fuzzy infinity scarf on a strike boss.

Pretty sure it's a cape, lol.

Definitely Mr. Davy Jones on the left

Well, you're right then. I definitely did not see Skolas.

Definitely Skolas.

Man I ALWAYS get rushed if I sit there. Or occasionally sniped which ends the run instantly...

Exactly my plan
Everyone goes down the stairs to the left and clears adds, ignoring the tank while staying out of it's line of sight. Once the initial push of adds is gone:
One person snipes the tank from the bottom of the stairs. It helps a ton to start by destroying the blue launcher and *then* turn to the legs and killing the actual tank.
One person controls the adds that spawn across the way (the door to the right of the initial entrance).
One person controls the adds that spawn down the tunnel, using the pile of crates on the left wall of the tunnel as cover when needed.
It's not foolproof, but it works well enough.
Easy Nightfall This week
You should be able to find a spot where you can't get sniped. Then you just have to watch out for exploder shanks & captains from the rightside and invis vandals & captains from the tunnel.
Skolas
In that picture Taniks' gun looks like a hot glue gun or one of those confectioners tools to apply icing to cakes.

I haven't tried it yet and it could be really brutal on the nightfall, but the walkway above the devil walker seems reasonably safe as long as you take care of the snipers quickly. When the tank tries to shoot you just move a bit to get out of the line of fire. With three people up there it's really easy to revive if someone goes down.

I've come up with a nightfall difficulty ranking system.
By the number of warlocks with self res you need on your team.
Omnigul with arc, lightswitch, juggler, angry?
3 warlocks.
No burn Mars?
2 warlocks.
Void nexus?
1 warlock.
Solar nexus?
3 hunters.
This is a 3 hunter level fight.

That first one literally won't ever happen.
Nightfalls are always:
-Nightfall Modifier
-Epic Modifier
-Three Additional Modifiers.

Also, Challenge accepted.

Yep. Ran it once during lunch today. The only potential danger is near the beginning of the walker room, if the exploder shanks surprise you while you're being rushed from the tunnel. Get through that and the rest is a cakewalk since you can stand back for pretty much all of it.

Yeah, 3 Warlocks is the unattainable hard.

The 3 Titan challenge will make an ordinary person blind.

Flash-bang grenades for Everyone!

I am my own difficulty level.
I'm pretty sure I've beat Omnigul on nightfall with arc burn on as a Sunsinger solo.
Oh course, I can't take two steps in ToO without tripping face first into the sand. ToS for me is like a 4 or 5 sunsinger event ;-)

Shriekers suckered you in. Don't.
The hardest part is the shriekers at the beginning who do massive void damage.
Shriekers are the easiest part of any mission they're in. For me at least.
I'm surprised when I see people actually engaging Shriekers. Killing them is esp. dumb to my way of thinking because you've now released a bunch of energy that will insta-kill you if it finds you.
I just race past the shreikers, or use cover to avoid their hits while I take care of the adds (if I so choose) enough that I can *then* run away safely..

This
Except that one time I ran past so much I forgot to jump into the ship and fell to my death, running past the Shriekers is pure profit.

Usually I engage them because I sort of obsessively engage everything. Still playing the game like Halo, I guess-- kill everything, then move on.
However in this case we just ran right by them. There aren't even any adds to worry about in the area.

I ALWAYS kill them
Just so I can watch the death blasts follow the guy that tried to run past them :p

i tried to solo the nightfall last night and the shriekers never opened. I think i had some serious lag. I was slowly crouching up to them behind the rocks, wanting to get just close enough to open them up, but they never did. I thought it would be some cruel joke that i would get too close and then they would open.
I got all the way up to the right side one and touched it, still nothing. I was hoping that something was broken and that i could sprint through the whole nightfall, but all the enemies inside had spawned. dang.

Oh I was saying it was really tough with one person. I have done it a couple different ways with three but when you are on your own it is really easy to get overwhelmed.

I don't think I've ever actually seen them catch anyone, but it's fun to watch all eight of them fall in line and move, almost single-file, toward the guy running past them.

Normally I agree; I just ignore them. Yesterday they just kept killing me in one hit, even when I tried to run past them.

They caught me last night, coincidentally on a run with Mig. I jumped at the same time as a teammate, and bounced into the main part of the outside, instead of hugging the edges/rocks - and both targeted me simultaneously. I died immediately.
My teammates didn't even realize I couldn't be revived - they were already past the first fight before they realized they needed to come back for me. :)
