Well this is disheartening. (Destiny)
I've, tried to kill Skolas solo about twenty times. Actually did fairly well a few times. Probably aren't going to make it.:(

Invite your entire friends list - someone will want an easier PoE chest reward.

Already did that.

Well, I'm done. I'm never going to try that again. That special bounty can be done on an easy boss and I've always hated playing under level anyway.

Wait. So why did you bother?

Eh, you know... the usual...
Friendship and loot. :)

Well this is disheartening.
wish i had looked on here last night. i had a party of two that could have joined.

Blame Wu and Nico.
Sorry I had to bail on you, at that point we'd pushed past 3 hours and I was holding up my in-laws' dinner.
I'm not going to even bother with solar burn skolas until I can get that jellyhorn to drop, it's not worth the aggravation I'd be putting teammates through.
(I'm sure Wu and Nico had stuff to do, it's just fun to blame other people).

Oh it's fine. Three hours is a long time, but you should have seen my one super great solo run! Maybe twenty minutes with Vision of Confluence, Invective, and my solar Admonisher III. I'd gotten Skolas down to maybe 90% health and everything was going swell as I expertly weaved (wove...ed?) around the map... until some random Captain evaporated from out of nowhere. :p
I think it's just another one of those activities I'm not ever going to like. It's not like playing Halo 1 on Legendary where it was tough but for the most part fair. It's like playing Halo 2 on Legendary where the challenges were basically stupidly impossible and we had to luck our way through significant chunks of the levels. Fundamentally, once the burns are on and the level advantage is working against you, you aren't really playing Destiny anymore. You're playing a super annoying super hard survival game that kills you if do the slightest thing wrong.
I'd rather just play Destiny... :)
Maybe I'll try Skolas again with the Void burn but certainly not until then.

I think that's my plan.
