What was it and how did you get it?

Mine was Patience and Time, from the Gorgon's chest right when the Vault of Glass opened.

Invective. Got an exotic bounty the first week, and loved the heck out of it... For some reason, it seems to have disappeared. No character has it. :(

Been racking my brain to remember, but I can't. Could very well have been Patience and Time. All I know is that I had to buy my first one from everyone's favorite Agent of the Nine.

Monte Carlo.

I'm actually not sure where I got it anymore but I think it was in a strike playlist.

I still love it because it looks like a gun from the future.

Suros Regime. I can't remember if I got a drop for it randomly after a Crucible game at some point, or if I got it from Xur. I didn't have an Exotic weapon for a really long time due to RNGod hating me. I've always been rolling in Strange Coins though, but I may have been using those on armor from Xur for a while.

I think it'd go well with the Warlock helmet from trials. Both look like something out of a 3D printer.

Universal Remote. Dropped at the end of a nightfall run a couple weeks in.

Universal Remote. I know it decoded from a legendary engram (which, at the time, was surprising), but don't remember where the engram dropped.

I always enjoyed it, to be honest, though it wasn't actually that good for a long time. It was just fun to run around with a shotgun that almost never ran out of ammo. But ever since the shotgun buff, I'm really glad I held on to it.

Plan C from first Vanguard package. Only exotic I haven't bought until PoE.

Invective. I remember because I have always had a little fun with minor roll-playing with my characters. My first char was a Warlock, and so when the time came to choose which of the three exotic bounties I wanted to undertake, I choose the one offered by the Warlock Vanguard.

I hated it at first, it bucked so wildly. But I patiently upgraded it over time and kept with it, and now that I've had it for so long and now that it's at 365 it's one of my favorite guns in the game. Perhaps even ousting No Land Beyond as my absolute favorite gun in the game.

Needless to say, if they come after my Ghost, I know what I'm reaching for...

I don't care how bad people say it is. I'm damn good with it, and that's all that matters!

I had to get rid of my ORIGINAL original one to upgrade, but I haven't deleted any of them since. As a fun hobby, each time I get A Voice in the Wilderness, I'll use my Super Good Advice to GET a Super Good Advice.

Thunderlord. Random from a blue engram I was turning into the cryptarch sometime just after turning level 20 for the first time.

I got it from a crucible game about 2 weeks after launch. :D

In that order. I remember the order of none of the other ones after Truth.

Oh how jealous my friends all were. Oh how they laughed when Xur sold it that week.

You know how. Very early in the game's life-cycle.

Sharded it very early on because it was awful. Only got another back after dropping Obsidian Mind. By then, I had given up being a Voidwalker. I can no longer effectively play as a Sunsinger since I got the combo.

I don't remember if it was the Thunderlord, Titan Alpha Lupi (drops) or the Ice Breaker I bought.

From my first nightfall. Didn't know what I had. I didn't really use it for a while because soon after I got the icebreaker and it became my go-to exotic weapon.

Either Sunbreakers or Super Good Advice. Not sure if I built up enough Coins to buy the Sunbreakers or if the SGA Bounty dropped first. Don't currently use either of them unless I am in need of having glowy fabulous arms :D

I saved up some money and got past the bouncers.

Super Good Advice, through the exotic bounty. I even documented how the quest went.

Do people really say it's bad? There are so many great uses for it (Oracles, Oversoul, covering fire in crucible)... I guess it kills things okay too, but yeah: awesome weapon.

The first exotic gun I got was The Last Word... I got it from a Legendary engram from the strike playlist, which was my go to activity in the first month.

It was funny because I was super disappointed at first. I wanted Suros real bad, you know, since it was the era of the Auto Rifle. And I had a friend online who only wanted TLW (and Thorn) in the beginning... We were in party chat when it happened. I felt so bad, because I didn't care, but it was what he wanted most. It was one of our first real encounters with the cruelty of RNGesus. My friend never got one until Xur sold it.

Funny thing is, I held on to it, never really used it for the first several months, but in the last few months, it has become my go to PVP gun. It actually is pretty cool when I think about the story of that gun for my Guardian. It was even at 300 Attack until post HoW, I upgraded it just for ToO.

My first exotic armor (which came just before TLW) was a Skull of Dire Ahamkara. It fell during my first nightfall and I was PUMPED. Will never forget that first exotic moment. I deleted the helmet though (later on)... I needed an exotic shard, and never used the helmet. The perk isn't that great and the roll was real bad.

I'm just broke through "Forever 24" with my first legendary armor. A few more pieces and I can start running NFs to get more gear.

Just kidding..... I think mine was Red Death or Suros. Pretty much everything is a blur from back then.

Got matchmade into the very end of Psion Flayers Strike. Killed one enemy. HAWKMOON.

The best part? It wasn't even a Tiger Strike. Just a normal, low-level Strike.
