Time-lapse tests (Destiny)
Inspired by moreuse's time lapse earth video, I decided to shooting a couple tests to get the hang of it. Made a couple quick time lapse shots of Mars:
Think I might make a few more of these and cut them together. Still need to tweak the timing. I made these taking 1 screenshot every 5 seconds or so. I might draw that out longer; take 1 screenshot every 20 or 30 seconds, and take way more so I can get some actual day-night shifts happening.
Phobos axial rotation...so hot. *GIFV*

Time-lapse tests
Now we just need a timelapse of the skybox on Black Shield! (Good luck...)
Time-lapse tests
Those moons don't sit right with me. They're within the Roche limit, that much is clear, but they appear to be in geosynch orbit, meaning they go around mars once per Mars day. Which means they can't be in orbit, they are just hovering. Deimos seems to be tidally locked, but Phobos was taken out of its normal rotation and orbit to be put closer to Mars, but they didn't put it back in synchronous rotation.
What is even happening there? What is powering the massive energy required to keep these moons up?
Space Magic. Just like earth gravity on every planet & moon

Explanations are PS4 exclusive.

Bill Nye on 'Space Magic.'
+1 I would love to know the context. :)

Explain what I am seeing here ?

Please provide proof of PS4 ownership.
Somewhere among their forces, the Cabal hide one of their most powerful weapons, the Psion Flayers. The extent of their ability is still uncharted, but Cryptarch studies and Warlock fears have led the Vanguard to classify them as a serious threat.
Many among the Warlock orders believe the Flayers pulled Phobos from its natural orbit, holding it in place, waiting for the order to release as a weapon.
Remind me while we play sometime to tell my Bill Nye story.
It basically just involves him calling me a weirdo.
I did not expect an actual answer.

Time-lapse tests
Dumb question by someone who doesn't record -- why not just start a video capture and speed it up after? Why take individual screenshots?

Most of the time for video quality. Individual frames from the recording software used on XB1 and PS4 are not nearly as good as when you just take a screenshot.
To get rid of the HUD
It isn't possible to get rid of the HUD in video capture. That's a specific trick that only works when taking screenshots :)
Did not expect explanation to ACTUALLY BE PS4 exclusive...
