I do know gross surface features of major astronomical bodies, like The Moon, Mars, etc.

There is almost no detail on the moon that fits the moon today, despite having things supposedly happening in Oceanus Procellarum, mostly near Mare Cognitum, which is a real location.

On flyovers, I see no set of known craters or maria, and the moon in the game is just built at random. They have the cracked feature near where we see Oceanus Procellarum today, so we can assume the moon is still tidally locked, and the features are in the same place.

Here's a lovely labeled map. Some of the features are wrong, like Grimaldi (which is actually the spot below and to the left of the label and Oceanus Procellarum), but it's largely accurate. Fun fact: the Sea of Crises is the size of the Michigan basin, and it's easily seen with the naked eye, which means the astronauts could see Michigan. Probably.

Mare Cognitum (as seen in First Light) is shown to be near the cracked feature, but this doesn't fit. Mare Cognitum is not on the labeled map, but Mare Nubium, the Sea of Clouds, is. Mare Cognitum is up and to the left of that. Needless to say, the crack wouldn't be visible from here.

We don't see Tycho, we don't see Copernicus, and we see undefined maria that don't match up with the maria we see today. One could say that the big crater on the right is Clavius, then the one above it is Tycho, then in the up left, that's Copernicus, with Mare Frigoris at the top, but it just doesn't match up.

The galaxy, too, doesn't look like our galaxy. It's all wrong. The constellations aren't there, either. The astronomical "error" list goes on and on.

While, from Mars, it looks like Phobos is the close one because of the obvious Stickney Crater, and because it's been officially identified as such, I do not trust Bingle to, in any way at all, create a Deimos or Phobos that will match any actual Deimos or Phobos. We'll only know when the screen pops up that tells us Deimos or Phobos.
