Just wanted to say thank you to the PS4 crew for the fun times last night. I appreciate you all helping walk Matt through the raids for his first time. He had a blast, and was very grateful for the time we took explaining the various encounters. He's actually one of the hosts of Rebel FM, so it'll be nice to have someone on that show who's in to Destiny :)

While we're here, thanks to the deeply flawed raiders last night. We didn't have a great night performance-wise, and bad luck and dumb mistakes led to many wipes. We were on the verge of quitting when we finally pulled it off. Two people got Vex Mythoclasts, so I'd say it was worth it.

Thanks especially to Cody for his patience. I know he's not as accustomed to such bumbling.

I miss raiding. Fall will be good to get back into the swing of things.

I also learned that it was Peaksutah's first run through on crota hard and that he hadn't ever fully finished VoG hard before. The new guys did great!

It's funny; it's only when you try to explain how to get through each section of the raids that you appreciate just how complex they are. There are so many little details and mechanics to keep track of. We've just run them so many times that we take it a bit for granted.

I got a kick out of the few points that would get left out. Holes in the Abyss, No Health regeneration against Crota, etc.

Edit: It's amazing how we forget all the details.

Ha, it's nothing we haven't all done about a billion times :) Great to have you along for the ride last night. We haven't been raiding quite as often since House of Wolves came out. Felt great to dig back in to them.

You should run it again. You can get something called the Crux of Crota on a drop from him, and you use it in a chain to get one of the best weapons in the game ;-p

On a related point I finally bought more bourbon; our long international nightmare of a girl-drink drunk, or even an occasionally sober Vortech is at an end.

Ahah. Oh man, I forgot how great it is to try to explain a raid clearly as you do it. I'm missing having a new raid for another reason now.

I did! I've beeb loving the Hand of Crota hand cannon! Best thing about it: void damage which let me get through the multiplayer requirement for Thorn over the weekend! :D
