Thanks, DreadPirate! I tried this last night with a couple friends and it went very smoothly. It was definitely less stressful killing adds, passing essence and dodging Skolas from down there.

Awesome! One of the best/interesting things about this method is that it actually makes the fight go faster because you're not running around in circles. In most Destiny activities, camping in a corner makes thing go slower. But with this you are actually doing more damage even with only 2/3 of the party shooting at a time.
