I need all day to strategize in my brain housing group what map it is.
But really I just want to know.

Nobody knows until 10am PST, when the event starts.

But at least someone will let me know when it rolls around.
If The Burning Shrine last week was an indication of a cycle restarting, it'll be Pantheon.

Widow's Court.

If you have The Messenger, this is a good time to use it.

Will have to see how it plays with the Messenger more common now, but we tore it up with a team of 3 shotguns last time. No one expects a shotgun rush on a map with sightlines like this.

Time to break out the new matador. RNG has not blessed my felwinters rolls.

Be careful with this strategy, + other tips.

Starting at the bottom makes it, in my opinion, very difficult to accomplish. However, starting at the top allows you to rush the building on the left, or have each guy go in a different way, staying under cover, then converging on the bad guys all at once from several directions. If good teams do this, they destroy. So give it a go, but obviously be prepared to fall back on more conventional fighting.
Something else to keep in mind is that a defender titan is a fantastic one for the heavy ammo rounds. He puts up a bubble and distracts the other team (and they will be distracted) while you guys run and grab the heavy and demolish them. With this tactic Zero Point Fox employed, we didn't lose a single heavy ammo round, iirc. The distraction worked every time, even when facing a team that would normally demolish us.
Also, due to the range that most of the fighting takes place in, plus the close range nature of many of the exotics, quick revive armor pieces are more prized here IMO than in normal matches. Warlocks and Titans should probably go for theirs, while a hunter can use Symbiote or whatever he wants, since his exotics I think help a little more in this kind of a fight.
Also, because of the nature of the map, long sightlines with still hidden ways to get through to either side of the map without being seen, I do suggest The Messenger. This way you can stay scoped in to where the other team will probably be and still be aware if the assholes try to come at you with their Party Crashers. But, YMMV.

When we started at the top we ran left and hovered around the stairs - usually they'd either try to rush the stairs or push through the red room under sniper cover - which means 3v2. Otherwise someone would flank around the right and get shut down by Chaos watching our rear. When you start at the top you have a definite advantage on the heavy round too, which is nice.
When we started at the bottom we would rush to the right through the church and into the red room. Unless they had the same idea we would usually get at least one and push the others back with grenades. After the Heavy round (or when they started getting defensive) we'd usually mix it up and run left as a group, just to mess with them.
Defenders, in my experience, are a bad choice for this map outside of the Heavy round. Popped a lot of bubbles with my FoH. When you're rushing there's a lot of small spaces to push people into too, which makes for easy grenade and super kills.
As a general rule though, we were aggressive on the bottom and defensive up top. Let us avoid snipers for the most part, which everyone was using because the map looks good for sniping. This map has pretty wide sightlines up top, so it's hard to flank effectively unless you're running as a group.

That's really weird! We ran the exact opposite strategy and never used the red room. The defender bubble is used almost exclusively as a distraction and not actually one that holds people.
I guess that really shows that it doesn't really matter what you do, just that you do have a strategy and communicate.
Dont be deceived.

We definitely met our matches that round. But you are correct as long as everyone is on the same page, you can do pretty much whatever. I think alot of peoples problems, including my own, are not changing it up. I dont think I am reactive enough some times. But I can definitely tell Licht when to throw a grenade while he is in radiance!

Good luck with that strategy...
