Thinking of getting the XBOX one Destiny (Destiny)

Need some persuasion. Its only 20 dollars at gamestop and I could still get the expansion pass for 35 if I got indebted enough. I rarely play my xbox and it bothers me. I DO NOT want to get rid of it, but I spent good money on it and really want to play something to bring me back. I think Halo will probably keep me invested for awhile if the Taken King is a let down.
Is it worth it? or are these ramblings of a sober man!
