Exotic Helmet idea: two perks, mutually exclusive.

1. Total health is reduced by 33%, however you cannot suffer critical hits.
2. Total health is increased by 50%, however you always suffer critical hits.

1 would make you more vulnerable to auto rifles, shotguns, fusion rifles, rockets and HMGs, but less vulnerable to Scout, Pulse, snipers, and hand cannons. In short, you'd be more effective at distance combat.

2 would make you more effective up close, but less so farther away.

This exploits the fact that the ranged weapons have much higher critical hit multipliers. What could possibly go wrong? :-p

Ambidextrous - Your melee attack is replaced by a second grenade. Grenade kills reduce your grenade cool down.

I'm confused. #2 seems wildly OP and #1 seems dumb.

Okay. So. Number 1. Less health and you can't take a headshot. Number 2. More health and you always can take a headshot? Did you flip reduced and increased? But then I don't understand your explanations. Why would not being able to suffer a headshot make you LESS vulnerable to snipers? All they do is headshot!

I'm legitimately confused.

You misunderstand. You have less health, but when shot, you will not take critical damage. If you are hit in the head, it would count as a body shot. Other way around for number 2.

You are less vulnerable to sniper rifles, since the enemy can't score a headshot on you. Guns with a high critical multiplier are less effective on you. Autorifles and the like are MORE effective, since their critical multiplier is lower than the amount of health you lose.

Oh. I think the wording confused me. Like suffer meant to tolerate.

As for the helmet, I think it would be swell. However, Bungle is probably very keen on limiting those percentages. Few things in the game give you that kind of boost in anything. Maybe drop everything by a factor of 5 and then I could see it.

basically, you could snipe all day long, and they would have to come in close to bring you down.
