The bonds of Destiny have finally been broken for me!

This doesn't mean I'm quitting the game or anything. But I have taken a much needed break from Destiny and it feels amazing! I can pinpoint this break to two events that have happened recently.

The first being that wonderful year 1 checklist of stuff to do in Destiny. When it went live, I already had completed everything there was to do, no need to try for other things on the to-do list that can be Destiny.

The second thing was I took an actual vacation and went out San Diego Comic Con. Being forced to do other things then play a video game was extremely refreshing! I got out and saw a bunch of things I had neglected due to playing and in general just had a great time. One of my favorite experiences while out there was talking with Jon Goff about Destiny. He was one of the writers for Destiny and we nerded out over the game for well over an hour. It was great hearing about some of experiences he's had within the game and also about the development parts he helped with.

When I got back from SDCC I had absolutely no desire to sit down for hours on end playing the same content over and over. It was immensely refreshing and somewhat confusing. What should I do with all of my new found time?!

Anyway, If you are feeling burnt out at all, then I recommend you take some time off. It's done a world of good for my attitude.

Hopefully I'll see some of my 360/XBone friends online again here soon. I'll for sure be up for some IB when it comes back.

Same happens to me. I've started and lost a lot of hobbies. Guitar, piano, photography, fountain pens, Avril, working on cars, staying 50 yards away from schools, hiking, cycling, motorcycles, swimming, hunting, fishing, camping. If I take a break it's pretty much gone forever.

I realize I just kind of disappeared about a month ago haha. I think I just didn't show up for our planned ToO with Funkmon and uh, then I found other stuff to do. Playing some PC games with IRL friends and I finally picked back up programming projects for fun.

I'm sure I'll be back as well, certainly for Taken King if not sooner. I think the flood of weapons from Wolves just overwhelmed me and tired me out. A bit too much quantity and complexity perhaps.
