The ridiculously strong fusion rifles.

Posting from destiny.isnotcanon because the music is apparently commercial, despite the fact it was on a stock site. I don't feel like recutting, and it can't go on youtube. No fancy editing; this is to show off the insanity of the guns, not the ability with after effects. I simply couldn't meaningfully follow that triplewreck montage just posted on reddit. Content first.
This is why high end Fusion Rifles are coming down in power :-p I satisfied the crucible portion of the Thorn bounty just from getting clips for this.

1:33 is just ridiculous

That is sick!
Wish I had fusion rifle skills like that. I only every seem to land enough rounds to damage but not kill.

This is in INSANE :D

Wish I had one of these!
Good videos. I have noticed you sniping people with them.
Since you are a fusion rifle master, what would be the best fusion rifle I could currently get? Right now my peruns fire is great. I am also looking at a snakebite surgeon as well.

Having the most broken Fusion Rifle possible also helps :-p
(365 now).

Give / Take Equation is pretty much this gun, but you can't boost the range without impacting stability thanks to HoW perks.

I did a comparison against the modern obtainable ones. Give/take equation looks good. You can get braced frame and increase stability and reduce magazine size.

lol - I have exactly ONE Fusion Rifle kill in Crucible (compared to 7500 Hand Cannon kills)... I guess I could learn something from you. :)

I have a Plug One.1 with Send It and Rangefinder in my vault. Might have to pull it out for one last ride before it gets nerfed.

Yes, you probably should.
But beware, Cody is good at this game. Stupid good. My fusion rifle skills suck so bad I simply cannot kill with the high range ones. I have to use quick recharge.
Hopefully you have good luck.

Wow send it AND rangefinder? KEEPER.

Have you....raided with him?
I KID, I KID
...a little
Roll it with Rangefinder
That should make up for some of the range you're missing.
I've got one with OAS sight (more aim assist), Hidden Hand, Braced Frame and Rangefinder. All theoretical atm because it's not levelled, but it should be dirty.
I'd also take Small Bore if it's even available on Fusion Rifles. Is it?

Praetorian Foil is also an option.
Very high impact and it still has send it/perfect balance. As close to a vanilla FR as you can get, because it is one.

I was wondering about this. After looking at this thread yesterday, I went through all of my old fusion rifles and was sad that I had scrapped several. I still have my Praetorian Foil, though, and if I ascend it, the thing could be a beast… And the charge time is a lot better than my Plug-One.

The biggest thing you can actually do is to get really good at precharging. Not just anticipating when you'll see your enemy, but not aiming down sights until the burst is about to fire. Unless you have radiant dance machines on, you move slower while aiming. That makes you more vulnerable. So imagine aiming, then charging. You're slow for a lot longer than if you charge, then aim at the last minute. You can see that in action in the video, and it helps immensely when you are being shot at.

Thanks, Cody. I've had a bit of analysis paralysis regarding weapons ever since HoWs came out. I worry that I have some hidden gem I'm just not aware of. You've helped me identify one: Final Rest II.
It has Send It. I just wish mine had void damage instead of solar. Looking forward to leveling this one up.

Apparently I've got a hidden gem too - Plug.One.1 with Rangefinder, Send it, and Feeding Frenzy (destinydb). I'll give it a try this week in IB.

You inspired me
This thread inspired me to try a fusion rifle in Crucible for the first time in months. This is about a minute after I equipped the thing and found ammo for it. I’ve also got a Plug One.1 that has Send It and Rangefinder, and at the end of this game, I received a Split Shifter Pro (its stats look good, but I have yet to see how it performs).
