Okay, some quick stats:

24 non-shotgun/melee/grenade kills (so close).

78 grenade kills.

851 shotgun kills.

1013 melee kills.

Doing thr bridge legit with just shotties was pretty sweet. Sadly, I can't find any orbs generated stats. Would love to know how many bubbles we dropped.

If stupid means fun...

I'll do some stats tomorrow if you don't.

Please do.

I had a blast doing that. Orbs of light paved the ground to blot out the blackness of the abyss. 'Twas a glorious sight to behold.

Things I learned:

  • A Blinding Bubble Train makes most of the raid trivial. Ir Yut didn't stand a chance
  • Hanging out in the Boomer tower is fun when everyone has bubbles
  • Shotguns are terrible at bringing Crota down. We caved and let heavies into the mix to finish the fight.

on the Xbone for Crota. We got close to taking him down 1 time, but it just wasn't quick enough before he swiped.

We tried the grenades too...

...but our patience was a little low by that point. We may have been able to do it if we were more coordinated, but I don't know. He's pretty tough.

Was that what you guys were trying to do?

I couldn't tell without my mic, I spent most of the raid yolo'ing everything.

Thanks for letting Junior join in

The Abyss:

The bubble titan technique made this stupid easy (and stupid fun!). We really didn't even need any guns or grenades at all, just melee attacks. The only challenging part is staying alive when the Ogres come out because they can stomp you inside your bubble. If you can draw them through a bubble with Saint-14 though you can finish them off. Otherwise just hope they don't get too close.

The Bridge:

Here you need a weapon to keep the enemies at bay because the fireteam has to spread out and thus you can't keep the bubble village going. This encounter took us a few tries as a result. We finally managed it though. Blinding the Ogres with a bubble allowed us to take them down quickly and the Wizards weren't too bad as long as you could get a couple shotguns on them.

The Shriekers:

We managed to destroy the Shriekers with grenades and I still made it through in time to get through the door. :)

Ir Yut:

Sending in three defender titans to take out the Wizards and Shriekers on each side worked pretty well. Ir Yut went down in record time!

Crota:

Yeah, Shotties and grenades are _not_ feasible. I hesitate to say impossible because then you know someone will figure out a way to do it, but it was so hard we gave up. Having lots of bubble titans makes everything else about this encounter relatively easy though.
