He hasn't hit the GREAT WALL OF 22 yet (Destiny)
I started Destiny shortly after HoW dropped (though I played the beta).
It's def. a hell of a weird ride, but like he said, the weird spikiness of the wolf packs and that GODDAMN Queensbreaker captain is pretty great. now I get to go back and kill that dude with a bounty, and that feels pretty amazin. "Oh hi, I hear you like shoulder charges and shotgun blasts"
It still does this thing where it just hits a wall around level 22, and your progression just grinds to a halt., though from what I understand it's better now than it was. It's better in a lot of ways from what I gather, as the purples rain a little more regularly now, but it's also not because the gap to get to the higher level content is even wider, and the stop gap measures to get there aren't so widely available. I was pretty down on the game in that period between finishing the "story" and leveling up enough to start tackling heroic strikes.
Bungie better solve that for TTK honestly, because that's the moment that drives away new players. And no, explaining the light system in a Modal dialog isn't NEARLY enough.
