Controller Input buffering and ROF (Destiny)
I did not know this.
On low ROF weapons, you can shoot, release, and then hold the trigger down until it shoots again to achieve max ROF. if you repeatedly spam the trigger, you could actually slow down the ROF.
Destiny buffers, or caches commands. if you release then hold the trigger, it saves that command for you until the ROF timer ends.
So if you get caught in a shotgun battle, pull trigger, release, pull trigger and hold until next round fires, repeat as necessary.
Very Useful for gathering RoF data
This and framecounting are how I got my accurate reads for RoF in the early weeks after the game came out. Still very useful for Shotguns and low-RoF Scout Rifles.

Controller Input buffering and ROF
This article linked in the other article gives a really detailed, pictorial representation of what's going on. Worth reading if you like all the details https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2z90y8/sga_since_semiautos_have_become_the_goto_learning/

Yeah, I do that a lot with my Bad Juju
You know, every time I come back to Destiny after not playing for weeks.
It's Full Auto, silly Zack. Stop being stupid.
