So, No Weapon Tribunal?

I really think this could be a good idea!

Because let me tell you right now--I need an option like this now, more than ever.

The good news: I got my three Gjallarhorns.

The bad news: I now officially have every slot in every single capacity occupied with a weapon. All 30 weapons for each character, all 36 slots in the vault, and all 20 slots in the Postmaster(most of them are armor, though--so I'll be moving those out)!

I don't even know what to get rid of!

If you mean when I open Tower Ghost, yes. Clicking on Share URL with friends doesn't do anything; there's no copied link, no reload of the page, no indication that the button was even clicked.

I agree on most of these, but don't delete Fulcrum. Fulcrum is awesome.

Personally I'm of the mindset to not have duplicates. You're even using an app that makes it easy to switch weapons, no reason to use up precious slots on duplicate weapons.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Reforging is a LOT different from dismantling. I mean, I wasn't getting rid of the Fulcrum anyway because I'm trying to collect all the FWC weapons, but that changes everything! Don't tell me I deleted some quality stuff that really could've been re-rolled!

The vendors have, IMO, the best archetypes of each weapons on sale, so no worries on sharding because of stats.

I only told you to dismantle the ones I don't think are worth it or could be rerolled to anything worthwhile. The Fulcrum is worse than Red Hand in auto aim, magazine size, and it has no increases in base stats to make up for it. The only time I would want the Fulcrum is if I was doing a weirdly specific set up in Crucible where I have final round and LITC with the thing that shrinks the magazine size. You already have a gun like that.

While I don't like to delete Exotics(especially the ones I can't get through VMM), the duplicates thing does make sense. So I'll get rid of the unnecessary copies therein.

1 Patience and Time, 2 Pocket Infinity, 2 Icebreaker, 1 Thorn, 1 The Last Word, and 1 Dragon's Breath dismantled.

Now, I'm HOPING Funk, that you looked at the perks for the legendaries and such, and not made the decisions solely on the weapon name. But I trust you enough to get rid of them, because as I select them with my cursor, I looked at each of your chosen weapons objectively, and immediately realize those perks are no longer necessary.

1 123 Szygy, 1 Against All Odds, 1 Deviant Gravity-A(hope I get a better roll, this gun was a beast), 1 Despot SA/5, 1 Arma Engine DOA, 1 MG18A Harm's Way, and 1 Dreamwalker(should not have done) dismantled.

The following weapons I will keep only on a trial basis--to enable their perks and see how it feels to use it. If I don't like the way it works, I'll dismantle them:

Her Mercy, Abyss Defiant, Pest Control Matrix, 20/20 AMR7, Unwilling Soul-09.

My Disagreements: I can't bring myself to part with Jolder's Hammer. That's a very powerful machine gun, and I've been killed too many times by one to just drop it. I'm not dropping my Valedictorian, it has tracking! I think my Tripod Fear is just as valuable(if not moreso) than my G and H one. I work really well with my Violator XII--I get more headshots and feel more comfortable using it--I'll keep that one. I'll probably get rid of the Secret Round 55A-All-Fate, but the Army of One version I probably need to keep. That's one of my most important perks, because those ALL the time. Just got Payment, let me check it out first. I don't want to get rid of Skorri's, considering it's a Level 5 Iron Banner weapon.

I'm only keeping exotics, raid (Trials/PoE as well) weapons and one of each element in sniper/shotgun/machine gun/rocket launcher. A lot of those will be filled by Exotics or raid weapons. I also have a pulse rifle/shotgun/rocket launcher that I have exclusively for crucible but I'm so terrible that I'm considering never playing it again.

The only duplicates I'm keeping are Gyllenhaals, and that is entirely due to laziness.

Even then, I've deleted my Arc Jewel of Osiris because Fatebringer, and my swordbreaker because of my void Dry Rot.

I'll probably get rid of some duplicates once TTK ships, but for now I find my duplicates quite useful. I have a Fatebring, Ice Breaker, Gjallarhorn and Thunderlord on all 3 characters because those weapons are all staples for me. I use them constantly, and like having them at hand without needing to bounce stuff around through my vault.

I have multiple Trials of Osiris duplicates, but they are all different elemental damage types. 365 elemental primaries are powerful tools to have, so I don't mind taking up some inventory space with those.

And there are a couple pieces of duplicate armor just because I'm in the process of upgrading a few exotics that have better stats than my old ones. As soon as I get them fully upgraded, the old ones are gone.

Ever since I realized those Vault apps work even within missions, I never looked back.

Only actual duplicate I have is the Khvostok. (I have two of the IB AR, but they're really different rolls.)

I prefer Thunderlord over either of the other 2 when it comes to PvP, but I just recently rolled a great BTRD and Jolder's Hammer that eclipse everything else I've got. I also liked having a Thunderlord on each character because I think it's the only weapon that comes anywhere close to Gjallarhorn damage levels against bosses, but I now have 3 Gjallarhorns so there's really no reason for me to keep all my Thunderlords.

That's another hold over. My Arc Jewel is the first ToO weapon I ever got. I'd held on to it because I actually like it quite a bit for PvP... but I now have a solar and void version as well, so no reason to keep the arc one.

I've held off because I've said it before but...

The problem is down to the concept of the Vault and the idea that your alts are different characters that share stuff by going to a place and leaving the stuff there.

The mechanics of the vault is what causes problems - the idea that you have to go to a place to give a weapon to an alt - the idea that these three different people somehow share weapons is what causes the problem.

If they bin that concept and just admit that the weapons are your (the player's) weapons then you just have the weapon. You don't need to take a weapon off one alt to GIVE to another.

If you want all alts to use the same weapon then Bungie should let all alts have the same weapon equipped "at the same time". I use quotes because you will never have two of your alts meet each other in the game (outside of a cutscene :-)

Bungie should:

bin the vault as a place (was the mother and father of bad ideas)
have a single inventory per player
everything you pick up is, automatically, in your inventory
any alt can equip an item from the inventory (even if an other alt has it equipped)

On the same theme of convenience - all currencies should belong to the player - not the alts. So you never juggle items between alts.

The web sites and apps make the juggling easier but the juggling is only necessary because Bungie made design choices that make work for the player. They can change things so you wouldn't have to juggle AT ALL. And that is easier than even the easiest juggling ;-)

Well, maybe you passed over it while writing your gigantic rant-post-thing a few weeks back.

They're upping the base stability (again) from 65 to 80 (and there are perks to increase that even further), and on top of that it will be the only auto-rifle that will not suffer from the new damage fall-off mechanics.

Honestly, you don't even need advice--most of these weapons have really good rolls. Either you reforge a lot, or you have truly been smiled upon by RNGesus.
