What strategy did you use? The DPW under the hole strategy? Did you record it?

Sorry I bailed last minute; my cheap replacement starter I bought from Amazon for my Crown Vic broke while I was away from my house. AAA, tow, call mom to borrow car, etc. Got home at like 10 PM.

Yeah, we stayed in the Captain closet on the right and sent Bladedancer Narcogen out for the mines. Didn't think to record anything though.

I was actually going to post some thoughts about the encounter too, so I'll just do it here.

I'd never faced Skolas before either, and I wasn't really eager to do so after some of the horror stories. So I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was. Being underleveled was an incredibly fun challenge (365 Fatebringer not one shotting Dregs!).

We wiped pretty much immediately on the first round. I'll mark that down as me being surprised by the enemy strength and damage output. I went in way too cocky with my newly ascended Fatebringer and recently acquired Gjallarhorn. I was quickly humbled.

We wiped once during Cabal. Then it was smooth sailing until Skolas. The Pilot Servitor round went incredibly smoothly.

We wiped a few times right at the beginning of Skolas. We went left to kill the Servitor and burn him, but he was super aggressive and was up the ramp right after we killed the Servitor. Finally got it down though. We wiped twice on mines, if I remember correctly.

Overall it took us just a touch over three hours to do the whole thing. Not bad for a first run. My biggest surprise was how little frustration there was. Every time we wiped, I felt like it was clearly our fault. We knew exactly what we did wrong and fixed it.

Now I just need to find the rest of the Golden Chests and I'll have my Triumphs completed.

That's not bad at all! I feel you on the frustration thing. Skolas isn't soul sucking like Crota hard. The fights aren't bad, and he isn't difficult, just slow. The mines are hard, though.

The cabal round is a beast! No problem wiping there. What a crazy one! The hive also get me sometimes. Was there any good loot dropped?

I got the Elder Cipher quest. Still haven't decided yet between QBB and LoW.

It also looks like I got the token for quest completion (Elder Cipher), rather than the Queen's Cipher.

No, I don't think so. Narc and I got the firs time Skolas stuff (shader, emblem, ship), and I think there were Ciphers all around. Not sure what else everyone received. I only got a Warlock Bond that I've received ten times before and Her Right Hand (and the usual bucket of coins and motes).

Still, can't complain.
