The community focus was LadyDesiree. (Destiny)
Occasional poster and musician LadyDesiree was the community focus this week. Somehow I missed the news article. Not a lot new there, but it's just a reminder she still does music covers and rearrangements of Destiny songs.
For those who listen to the soundtrack and are underwhelmed because some tracks don't seem to have a story or an arc within them, but just a collection of loosely themed runs of notes, listen to her versions. She makes them real songs. Like songs you could listen to for real. I think Destiny's music is great in the game, but when released for the soundtrack it just lost the urgency in the game, probably due to how the soundtrack was made. Halo and Myth didn't have that problem in their soundtracks, IMO.
I love fan music recreations, especially when it can improve on the original. I think Silverbrin did a great version of Under Cover of Night I liked better than the soundtrack track, but I can no longer find it. It was subtley improved somehow. And I like Lady Desiree for that stuff. She subtley improves the presentation of Destiny songs, and so far she is batting a thousand.
