How cool would it be if Bungie let us play the Alpha and Beta again for the week leading up to the end of year one? See just how much the game has changed. I know I still have both on my hard disk. Not going to happen… but Scout Rifles sounded way better in the Alpha :-)

The Alpha was a lot differenter than the beta wasn't it? Lots of different UI and stuff? I guess I just don't see the appeal... at least from the beta to the full game where the differences weren't as big.

What I would love is if they'd do limited time access to new content like when we all rushed to patrol the moon. Delving deeper and deeper with Leviathan and Malagate while racing against a time limit is still easily one of my top Destiny highlights. That kind of thing would be fun to do again, even if it was just getting the chance to play the first mission of a new expansion early or something.

And how would it benefit them to open the door for more snarky comments about how the alpha or beta was better than the shipping game?

I sat on the moon for something like two or three hours after it technically closed off again. Raced around for that first hour, everything after that was casual exploration. Spent a lot of time in the Hellmouth though.

The moon was fun with no one else around.
