Year 2 Preparation (Destiny)

Now that we've had the livestream that showcases certain things. Can we put together a preparation list for things to buy/acquire before year 2?
- Sexy hunter cloaks? fabulous butt towels for the Titans? 3D arm bands for the Warlocks. those were missing from the speaker. should we buy them now if we want them?
- Emblems we've earned. can we now delete those?
- Exotics: Can we delete them or do we have to hold on to them to add them to the "collections"
I missed the first half of the stream due to work. just wanting to get a game plan ready for the coming weeks.
Speaker still had class items, just fewer at a time.

They went to the emblem dispenser terminal I believe.

So we would be able to purchase them there instead. I wasn't sure if the terminals only kept things you previously acquired

My preparations:
- Buy any faction armour I like the appearance of
- Buy the Vanguard and Crucible sparrows because I don't think Arcite-99-40 was selling them
- Buy any weapons I like the idea of rolling - just Fulcrum, Give/Take and a One/One Synesthete
- Max out my marks
- Keep an eye out for Rare Ships and Emblems sold by Eva Levante and Amanda Holliday
- Etheric Light. Lots of it. I want to Ascend all my gear if possible, and all my Raid weapons. Think I'll need 66 total, though I have already Ascended some stuff.
- Buy Speaker Emblems because they were suspiciously absent
Edit: Not sure how the new Attack and Defense system is going to affect old gear. Will there be a difference between Ascended VoG gear and un-upgraded? Or will everything get bumped to 170 or whatever it is.

Question: Vanguard and Crucible marks have been combined into Legendary marks, Legendary marks are shared between characters just like glimmer is currently shared, and while the weekly cap for earning marks has been removed, the "wallet" size is still capped at 200. So, does that mean that if I have all three characters maxed out at 200 Vanguard and Crucible marks each before launch day, that I'll go from having 1,200 marks across three characters, to having just 200 to share between the three of them?

Those marks will be converted to Commendations, which will turn into Legendary marks when dismantled!
Oh, okay. I only started playing Destiny shortly before House of Wolves, so I missed the whole Commendations thing previously. I'm not really sure how that works.

As they most recently worked, a commendation could be used like a consumable to grant a large boost to your rep either for the Vanguard or Crucible, ect.
Yes, but they'll buy your extra 1k of marks w/commendations.

I'm staying away because my newly acquired RSI hurts too much. I hope that 4 weeks of not playing (and icing my hand) will let me keep playing next year.

I did stop using my Kinesis ergo keyboard at work recently. Hmm, I'm going to add that to my list of "medically necessary changes" to my work environment. :)
GOT one of them curvy keyboards.
If it's right hand trouble, I've been there too. I switched to using my mouse with my left hand. Also, stopped using my computer at home. There's also an upright mouse that looks pretty good. Hope you get better soon, but realize that it probably won't be fast. This stuff takes months and life adjustments to make better.
