I'll never be good at Crucible. I just don't think that tactically. I'm the guy that is always making bonehead choices, bringing your team down. I'm the guy that chases people around corners blindly and walks into the ambush.
In Halo, my coordination and reflexes were enough to let me do pretty well. Destiny just doesn't work the same way. Time to kill is just so much quicker, reflexes just aren't as relevant as good strategy.
Great video though, and it really did make me want to play more Crucible.

Yeah, I get caught up in the moment as well. That's why I play a Titan, if nothing else you can always fist of havok at the last minute and hope to pickup a kill. One thing that seems to help a bit is to spend my "dead" time evaluating what I did wrong and thinking about the approach I should take when I revive, that way I at least have part of a plan for next time.

I never run the catapult ability because you can't jump as high, and I didn't see any other benefits to the ability. Now I know you can use it to move horizontally faster, that's really useful!
Increased Control might be better.

If you can use it well like the guys in these videos you can use it to quickly surprise enemies who didn't know you could get there that fast. In some of the videos it looks like the enemy didn't even notice the player until it was too late.
If you're a hunter...
...you can do something similar with MIDA, Bones of Eao and better (increased?) control for your jump. Worth trying out if your bored. Try maxing agility to really get the full effect.
