So if Bungie is scanning the Vault.. (Destiny)
"Your Character Level will be grandfathered into your highest possible Light Level from all gear in your inventory and vault"
What happens if I have, say, armor that would put a Titan at 34.. but the only Titan I have is a level 1? Will they magically become a level 34?
What if I have one Warlock that's 34, and create 2 more Warlocks that are level 1? Will they all become 34?
Just saying, if you have been collecting armor in your Vault but never created that character, this might be the time to do it just to see what happens.
I think
That you will stay level 1. They keep saying maximum achieved level. So when you say maximum achieved level I go to you will be level one. The reason we will be 34 is because we have achieved level 34. But I can also see what you are saying being true.

What I want to know is why they don't want us to delete junk
They make sure to talk about the light level thing and the warnings to not delete stuff in wholly different spots in their weekly updates and stuff, and have not been clear about if the reason is just because of us accidentally deleting good stuff or if there is some other one.

They're looking for that stash of pr0nz you have hidden in your Vault.
XD

I just want to delete stuff. My Vault is full, the postmaster is nearing full, my characters are full. I need to dump stuff hardcore.

What I want to know is why they don't want us to delete junk
1. Breaking stuff down post launch will yield new materials that are useful to you in year 2.
2. They don't want anybody to be surprised and accidentally delete something they should have kept. Think of the whining that could happen if they didn't make this blanket statement. I honestly think this is the most compelling part from a PR standpoint.

.....Think of the whining....
so much truth to that statement about Destiny players

Your postmaster is full?
I didn't even know that was possible... I wonder if mine is full, I've just been letting it fill since my vault & inventory are so full.

I found this out the hard way on the first week of HoW when we could farm chests. I am constantly deleting stuff out to save the weapons I don't want to retrieve from the postmaster.
I can't remember how many you can hold but it's something like 3 complete rows of stuff. maybe 4 rows?

20 slots

Don't even talk to me about the Postmaster :@
He swallowed a Gheleon's Demise, 2 Radeghast's and at least 3 other items last week. Pretty sure he wasn't full either. Do lost items have an expiry date?

No. If you lost items, it was because you were out of room.

Weird, I had 3 rows of empty space, then ran like 5 Strikes. I guess I was just really "lucky" with my drops.

After the 20 slots are full, it deletes the oldest things...
*Spoilery?*
If you make your new character AFTER the expansion you could use the Spark of Light to instantly get your character up to level 25 or whatever they said in the first Twitchy stream

That's not a spoiler. It's a back-of-the-box selling point.

Sharded items will shard into whatever they currently shard into. Only Taken King weapons/armor shard into Taken King Materials.
