A plea and a rant (Destiny)

I'm literally pulling my hair out and I feel like I have to say this. Bungie, please, never again remove chances to get grimoire and please never again make a game require on-line for fucking campaign. I've been having network issues (that I suspect are Destiny's fault because they don't seem to show up other times unless I was just in Destiny) and I've been trying to finish my new character so I can get all of the original campaign one last time and I want to do all the wolves (looks like I only had two left). I have one level left plus the wolves and I'm pretty sure the update is about to hit and it's way too late in the early morning and the fucking network is messing up again and it won't reconnect and it's been infuriating the whole time.
but yes, required on-line for campaign is dumb, I always thought so, now I'm mad enough to say it
I'm surprised I didn't see anyone say anything about taking away chances for grimoire but I didn't really look. Good job on advance notice too, we had what, a week, 10 days? I know that's enough time to actually do them all but some people have tight schedules and some people don't like these things being springed on them.
I'll see you guys when I get my legendary edition.

I'm thinking that they'll very likely unlock the cards for all players on b.net.

That would be the easiest solution.

I'm almost certain they said in the last update (or maybe the one before that?) to get the grimoire cards and score for the wolves now because you won't be able to soon. They should do what you said though if they're set on removing them, but I really think they shouldn't. I don't like how the trend is to make an area more interesting and then take away what was introduced and make it less interesting again. I can see not having stuff in starting areas and tight thoroughfares and finding that to be an issue after it's introduced, but otherwise it should be kept permanently IMHO.

I think the online required thing is here to stay across the board unfortunately. I can feel you too because I recently moved to a new apartment with much sketchier internet, so anything that requires constant connectivity is bollocksed up quite a bit.

The gist of it appears to be that companies are willing to piss off people who have subpar internet because they feel like they will get enough back by preventing piracy. Who knows if it's actually a successful policy money wise but I think that's why it happens.

Well their claim with Destiny is that the other people are an integral part of the experience, and for some modes that's true, but campaign would work just fine without them, and even for other modes it really only makes a difference sometimes. If they had an option for automatic chat (and preferably defaulted to on) for every mode it would be more social and have more of a benefit.

Yeah well I feel the same way man, but I think I've about run out of leeway so far as complaining about Destiny or my perception of its shortcomings, so I'll just say I'm sure there were a myriad of programming restrictions and obstacles that I couldn't possibly ever understand that lead Destiny to be always online, and have voice chat be restricted.
