You can get a new Stranger's Rifle if you deleted yours. (Destiny)

I posted here, but it got shoved down the page pretty quickly. I know some people were regretting scrapping their Stranger's Rifle, so I want to make sure this gets seen.

You can now get a brand spankin' new Stranger's Rifle by going to the Abandoned Quests kiosk behind the class Vanguard reps and picking up the "Fruit of the Garden" quest.

Wouldn't it have been nice if they grouped all those apps into a single iPad instead of placing iPads all over the tower? I mean, I only have a 16GB iPad, but I have more than one app on it. Also, I hate the interface. When you open the iPad and click the ship/emblem/shader/whatever that selection should be worn immediately. It'd be so much more straightforward if those things were just removed from the character interface (and the character interface would be cleaned up too!).

I assume this is a memory issue just like the original Vault limits and what they can show on each tab.

Then why didn't they have each kiosk just go to a menu where you pick which stuff you want to look at before they load it all into memory?

A guess would be that they have the background power to start loading it into memory by you simply approaching it. That way if you select it they can display it faster. If they were to put them all in the same space, they couldn't intelligently start pre-loading it.

I'm probably giving them too much credit, and the 360 hardware too little credit, but there is precedent for this. They do a similar thing with map sections I know. They will see you heading towards the next "bubble" and preemptively start loading so that there is little to no loading required. This falls apart if you fly through a bubble super quick, or immediately after loading a second. Hanging a left on the venus patrol load point will always cause a load, unless you hang out for 10 seconds and then the transition is butter smooth.

I only ever used my Stranger's Rifle for a few days before I deleted it. When I got a 2nd one months later, I deleted it instantly. To my surprise, I discovered on Tuesday that my Titan hadn't technically completed the Black Garden mission, so I ran that real quick and got a new legendary Stranger's Rifle. I'm actually using it now and I love it! Why did I ever delete this thing?
