On Light and Power Levels. (Destiny)

Is anyone at Light Level 170, and does it feel different than being a maxed 34 pre-update?

I have a 170 Warlock. I ran Normal Crota this morning with a group, and just spent five hours in Skolas. Both seemed much more difficult than they would have pre-update. Part of it is definitely the Hand Cannon range reduction. I previously used an ascended Fatebringer and Found Verdict for Skolas. It was perfect, because I like having the shotgun for Captains in the hidey-hole. Well, now Fatebringer doesn't have enough range to take out the adds across the map effectively, so it's pretty tough.

The only real difference I felt for Crota was the Swordbearers felt like they were taking a lot less damage, and dealing much more damage than normal. Again, this was at Light Level 170.

Just curious what it felt like to other folks.

And Lawnmower and Phoenix, sorry we couldn't get Skolas done tonight. Rookie mistake on my part for not being stocked up on Heavy Ammo synths. I'm positive we would have finished if I wasn't scrounging for ammo the entire time. We just couldn't burn him before second round of mines because of it, I think. I'll be prepared next time!

I haven't raided, but I did use my fatebringer on a moon patrol. As you mentioned, the range reduction is immediately noticeable. Now you can't headshot enemies a good distance away, which means you aren't getting your Outlaw to proc. And if you're a hunter, like me, Chain of Woe is also not proccing. The reload speed reduction is painful when you don't get a precision kill (I guess that I always had one pre-2.0). One small change made the gun 50% less awesome. Perhaps it won't be such a small problem in a smaller zone, but I think it's ruined.

Will try VoC next time I play... I'm encouraged by the damage boost.
