Some guy on reddit got his CE box early (and hidden code) (Destiny)

Didn't notice this mentioned here, so I thought I'd let people know.
You can read his full thread or just check out the album of photos.
Obviously he can't play TTK-only material yet, but it looks like one new emblem code has been figured out as well from the packaging. It's 3VF-LGC-RLX and unlocks the Insula Thesauraria.
Is not active until Tuesday but appears to be valid.
Nice emblem...

...it may even replace my beloved 'Inner Chamber'. Maybe...

I would buy a deck of those playing cards

Looks like they hired a calligrapher to emulate real handwriting, but it's not written with any standard form of handwriting I'm familiar with. In terms of modern handwriting, the Ps look European, but the rest of the handwriting is clearly modern American, but at 3 levels. This is often the case with French writing, as they use Seyes ruled paper to get the 3 levels, but isn't unknown elsewhere. It has elements of Spencer. However, it most closely resembles an old writing style, Copperplate, as was used in the Declaration of Independence, directly lifting its Ns, Ps, and a few other letters, while eschewing its other European tendencies of the long S and G capital shapes. The angle is also off. Copperplate has a 55 degree angle, invariably. This writing has a changing angle, but it is usually close to 55, which is nice.
It was originally done with a flexible writing utensil, likely a needle tipped flex nibbed fountain pen held heavily on the downstrokes. Copperplate is normally done with an oblique nib holder dipped in ink, but since this appears to be modern "handwriting" with copperplate flourishes, the fountain pen makes more sense, and it is consistent with the writing I am seeing. I could be wrong on that.

Thanks for the commentary – gives me enough to spend a day Googling. :)

I would love to be able to do that. Being left-handed doesn't help.

Can confirm. I took a calligraphy class in college. I'm not left handed, but one of the other students in there was, and it's rough trying not smear the ink and such. Looked awful.
It was a really fun class. I never got that good, though. I do still have my giant book of scripts and how to do them somewhere.

I've been told I have nice handwriting (it used to be nicer before a hand injury I got in my 20s), but the smearing has always been an issue, especially with fountain pens, which I love (as Funkmon knows). The newer, quick-drying inks help.

So gorgeous!

I've always been so impressed with Bungie's limited editions. Digital stuff be damned. I want neato old-timey paper books!
