Is there a way to redo or restart quests, and does that apply for story-oriented quests? I installed the update yesterday (because I didn't know until then Destiny supports flash drives on 360 now) and my new(ish) Hunter has quests that are partially completed already, and along with the little notes for each step there's addition dialogue (or I guess more like monologue) when you go talk to someone, and I can't get that for the steps that are pre-completed. I tried abandoning the quests but they show up in the abandoned quests terminal at the same stage they were at before and talking to Cayde didn't start anything new after I'd abandoned them. I really don't want to make another new Hunter but I also really don't want to be locked out of story bits, no matter how small.

No it doesn't, it's different dialogue. I completed steps in a few by talking to Vanguard representatives and I got some dialogue from them, and looking at the steps afterwards, it shows different dialogue, sometimes from different characters (usually the Ghost). It's like exotic bounties, the vendors say unique things when you come to them with each step that are (usually?) different from the text you get describing the next step, and usually the text you take with you is significantly shorter. To be clear, these are steps that consist of (and are usually called) "Talk to [character]".

You should be able to replay all quests from one of the iPhones in the Vanguard room. You may have to finish the whole thing before you're allowed to go back and restart it.

I'm seeing something about emblems for quests starting on the 15th, I started before that, doesn't anyone know what that's about?
