TTK reminded me more of Borderlands, and I loved it (Destiny)
It's not quite borderlands, but it had that feel to me that wasn't really there in Year 1.
**The humor (although not R rated like Borderlands).
**The hand-drawn "cutscenes" on the subclass quests
**More story
**More loot (though not Borderlands crazy)
**The over-arching story where i was just a vessel to forward the progress of the 3 "main characters". Ikora is basically Lilith (siren) Cayde is Malachai (wise-cracking Hunter), and Zavala is Brick (Berzerker). They run everything from the safety of the Tower (Sanctuary) and send you out on quests.
Obviously, there are a lot of differences there too, but I just liked the overall feel of TTK better than Vanilla Destiny. It's like it has the core feel of Borderlands, but Bungie did it better (and more family friendly).
Now if they would just put in a firing range........
