The Queen (of the Reef) and Eris know each other. There is a card that has Eris coming to the Queen and talking about wanting to kill Oryx, and the Queen agrees to help. I think the Queen is even talking to Eris in the opening cutscene, but I'd have to go back and watch it to confirm.

Yeah, I got that impression in the opening cutscene as well.

I've been so busy playing the game, I keep forgetting to check out the new Grimoire cards. I'll have to do that.
