Has anyone else gotten this exotic scout rifle yet?

So far I like it. It has essentially the same archetype as VoC/Fang with a very distinct sound. I love scout rifles for PvE so I was really excited to have this drop.

Yeah I am enjoying it a lot, and the extra armor is pretty noticeable if you use Goliath. Plus it just looks nice. My only real complaint is the sights. It has pretty decent range, but the lack of long range sights makes it a pain to use past a certain point.

I do not have this. Do you have to do Petra's bounties (taken, consumed, and named guy on Cosmodrome?)

It's the reward at the end of the Petra/Varkis quest line.

I finished that quest last night, but got no exotic. :(

You killed Orbiks Prime and didn't get the Boolean?

Gotta finish both Petra's questline AND Varik's questline. For Petra, there is one step to her quest that doesn't show up until the day *after* you finish the first set of quests for her.

I did too. Petra and Variks are done, no Boolean Gemini. All I have left are subclass quests and the one that tells me to do the raid.

I actually prefer a blue hand cannon I have over it in general… It's really great, NOW. I feel like down the road it won't be worth the exotic slot.

You finished the quests by talking to them both right?

Do I need to go back and talk to them again out of the blue?

Yeah I definitely agree. It's great because right now it's super powerful and is one of the weapon types I like, but when we start getting good rolls on weapons we like it will probably get vaulted.

At the end I had to talk to Varkis and then Petra.

Do you think it makes a difference I did this on my hunter and you did your warlock?

I can see this happening too. It's like MIDA in the sense that I love it, but it wasn't worth giving up an exotic slot for.

It's possibly you have to be a certain rank? Do you know what rank you are with Petra?

If it don't show up tomorrow, then I'll know I have a problem. :O

After finishing the Petra quest, wait one rollover and then go back to her. New quest!

However today I finished a different quest that had me get some kills in the dreadnaught for Petra and I got it with that. Weird.

Yeah you have to finish ALL quests with Petra and Variks before you get it.

I just got mine last night and Patrolled a bit to test it out. Those iron sights in the front completely ruin the Red-Dot viewer. And I agree that the perks aren’t exactly up to snuff. Also, no exotic perk by default on a Y2? Isn’t that against the Y2 design rule? (I realize that Black Spindle has that as well, but it’s supposed to be a successor to Black Hammer).

All in all, pretty disappointed. I’d REALLY like a to have a go-to exotic Scout, but Bungie seems to want them to be half-baked. :-\
