Like do you have to do the hard mode, or anything? Any tips?

Easy level works. Get his health low, run up and rocket the ground killing both of you. All dropped loot will remain in the room. Use a three of coins before each run.

How exactly are people using these to farm? I tried the Draksis trick: only got 1 engram out of 8 kills, and that was only because I stacked 6 of the 3 of coins on my final attempt. Hardly seems worth the trouble :-/

They don't actually stack per use from what I hear. They stack when you get a kill and don't get an exotic and then you use another coin. From reports on Reddit more than one coin at a time does nothing. But I also haven't tried it at all.

No. You usually get 1 every 10, maybe a bit more frequently. The coin adds something like a +1 to your account. When you kill the boss and don't get an exotic, you blow another one. It's a +1 to your account. You then kill the boss and do another one. +1. And so on, until you have a huge percentage of getting one. You only use one at a time.

So, you get 1 random exotic for 14 strange coins on average. It's slightly more cost effective, and you aren't limited to the engram Xur has.

Draksis takes about a minute to kill, wipe, and reset. In a half hour you will get 3 exotics probably at least. That's much quicker than Nightfall rewards.

It is still purely rng based, but the time/strange coins per exotic drop is low. Which is why it is getting rightfully patched. Also, as others have stated, only use one per kill.

I'm still exploited it, of course, but I'm a terrible person.

One of the ways the Edge browser appears to be fast is its immense cache. If you hit a link it's loaded in what seems like the past decade, it loads the cached page. This happens to me when I edit a post, too, so if I do two edits, the second edit only edits the original post, not the new, edited post.

Annoyingly, its integration with Cortana, its blazingly fast javascript rendering, its low resource usage and its adequate security keep me using it.

And I got 9 exotics from 29.

I think one in six or seven is about average, based on anecdotal evidence. My longest streak without receiving an exotic was five.

Today I did 25 and got 2, then did 35 and got 6. My numbers were the worst I could imagine someone having upon using a huge number of them. Over a hundred, I'd expect at least 10.

Think I'm going to close my wallet until Xur sells Weapon engrams.

RNG is alive and well... a couple hours ago I got 2 Exotic engrams from 5 ToC-Draksis kills. Got a new Crest of Alpha Lupi for my Hunter and the Zhalo Supercell.

I've not farmed them, but I've kept the buff up while playing since I bought some friday. I've gotten 2 engrams and gone through about 15 of the buffs.

Took me 39 stacks in total, but a sweet gold engram finally dropped amongst Zydron's parts. I rush over to pick it up...only for my HUD to read 'special weapons full'.

(I know it's waiting for me in the Tower, but I couldn't stop laughing regardless.)

So 39 coin buffs, 5 Ultra kills and virtually ALL of my strange coins are gone to the wind for one single Exotic.

But I gotta say....

Sounds about right. That's what we got at around 6 AM Friday morning.

Just hung out in a party with nico as he spent 20 buffs for 5 engrams. If they've tweaked it, his luck is even BETTER than I thought it was. :)

They said the more you stack at once, the higher chance you have.

Every time you use one and don't receive an engram, the buff goes up. Nobody has had any noticeable change when consuming more than one at a time.

I decided to get a few in just now before bed, and wow. I just got The Taikonaut, which is easily going to be my new best friend, Empyrean Bellicose, and Crest of Alpha Lupi. And that's not including all of the weapons I got. I think overall I managed about 11 engrams from 50 of the Three of Coins.

...I averaged about one exotic for every 12 buffs. When I ground my boyfriend's character for him while he was at work, it was the same (70 buffs, 6 engrams).

I read yesterday that people thought it was stealth nerfed. I decided to do one last run at about 4 pm yesterday, and got a crazy 4 engrams out of only 10 buffs. Two were TTK equipment. I think the RNG is still just RNG.

Yeah, I noticed that it goes away once you sign out. I've been trying to re-use it after every boss kill so I don't forget.

Sounds like I just had higher expectations than I should have, I think people are right -- this is expected drop rate. I'm up to 4 exotics for about 20 of the coins. So not bad, all told. Mathematically that about one exotic per 5 coins, which I expect is the point -- about a 20% drop rate chance.

I really don't want to farm with them, I like the idea of having a chance at better drops while I'm out doing other things. I'm concerned that they will be nerfed into oblivion. I really hope they simply add a cooldown to them. I think 10-15 minutes would be about right.

Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely thankful to get a lot of these weapons and such early on. I'm also really glad they put in quests to earn specific exotic weapons.

I now have the chance to try out various exotics and see how they will fit my play style. I'd still rather have an epic legendary weapon to use over an exotic long term (I'm looking at the DO scout rifle here). These new exotics just let me continue to play at the level I was at before.

I just bought it. It shoots like a dream and the perks are great. The problem is that it takes up 1/3 of the screen when you're carrying it. It's huge! I'm completely blind to anything coming up on my right side with it equipped.

I had one drop from a DO package. Mine has Army of One and Rescue Mag on it, I'd love for it to have Firefly though. The vendor version looks to be about perfect. I also have the FLASH HS4 sight on it which I love. It puts a red outline on targets :)
