I waited to finish my Jolly Holliday quest until I had a team of 3 to do it, but ProbablyLast and I gave up and ran it earlier today. It joined us with another guy!
So, these new ones are NOT like the thorn quest. Much good! Also that strike was unbelievably difficult.

Really? What light level were you? Chewbacca and I didn't find it too hard and we were between 285 and 289.

Did you need to get the killing blow with a shotgun? That seems hard with randoms.

I think you just need to have them equipped. I swapped off my shotgun to use a sniper rifle a few times, but not during the boss fight. I was also dead when it was complete.

You have to wait until the weekly reset to get it.

I am trying the matchmaking, but its terrible, alot of 270s getting smacked in there. We managed to make it to the Shield Brothers, but got smacked. The void shielded Psions are the worst part. The bosses are manageable.
Any protips?

Void special weapons are almost a neccesity. Even if it's not a shotgun, use it until you get to the actual Shield Brothers.

I used a 280 Stillpiercer sniper in that fight and I don't know how I'd have finished the level without it.

Turns out I did equip a void sniper for a little bit of the time. What a beast. I saved us from wipes with the sunsinger super a couple times.
