I've done the exact same thing
Only I've got each column for a specific weapon type too.
Plus Armour fits really nicely top-to-bottom (ish. You have to ignore the class items, sadly). 9 Helmets, 9 Gauntlets, 9 Chests and 9 Boots per page.

I've dismantled mine. So much space saved, and I don't miss them. I don't need to keep them around anymore what with the year two versions. You can always snag them later if you need them from the blueprints.
