If you haven't run into this yet, it's a tough one to figure out. I had to cheat. Did anyone figure it out on their own? Don't spoil it for anyone who wants to figure it out for themselves. :)

Me and my fireteam pieced it together. I had the relevant key, my buddy found the stink and the whole team placed them selves on the bridges yo help me see them quick. Took s couple of attempts but that memory is with me for life. Awesome stuff Bungie!

There is a room in the Dreadnaught where you find a chest but you take damage while standing near it. It is possible to survive the damage, you can't turn it off. Up North was kind enough to point out the obvious solution, but there are probably multiple ways to do it.

There is a relic you can get that is stupid far away that makes you immune to the damage.

...Or bladedancer, or stormcaller. You will die, but it will open at the same time that you die.

I know how to do it legit, but the only chest I know of that is cheatable is the one that kills you.

Theres multiple spawn locations, but none of them are more than maybe 40 aeconds away at Full Sprint.

You can actually get it to spawn in the room next door, but I'm not entirely sure of what triggers it.

I found it alone by sheer dumb luck.

I got the Key of Maggots to drop, went in that room, and opened the chest. Then I stayed there in my inventory looking at the sweet loot (not really sweet at all). When I closed the menu, my screen was all gunked up. The rest is history and really stressful platforming.

My buddy figured it out because a pizza delivery guy showed up at exactly the right time.
