New crucible gametype: Zone Control (Destiny)
So there is a new "Weekly" crucible playlist, in addition to the daily playlist. The weekly playlist works like the weekly heroic strikes: you get 10 legendary marks (if you win your match), up to 3 times per week.
The weekly playlist this week features a new game mode: Zone Control. It's like control, except kills don't grant you points. This makes it the first purely objective-based gametype in Destiny. Played a few rounds with Vortech and Slycrel last night, and had lots of fun!

Played some of it yesterday. Thought it was pretty funny how low the score was at the end (no individual points awarded either; all about controlling the zones).

Played a few games and was frustrated I didn't get Legendary Marks. (We lost.) Didn't know you had to win. Didn't know the objective. Durrrr.
Funny thing is, this is up my alley. KOTH was always my favorite Halo game type.

Control: Now with More Camping
And less opportunities for a losing team to make a comeback.
And more severe punishment for getting the bad spawn.
And way more advantage to the winning team when heavy comes around.
In case you can't tell, I'm not keen. I played one game (we won) and was incredibly impressed that Bungie have found a way to make Control even worse. Would have much preferred Crazy King or similar.

Yeah, the spawns are glaringly bad in Destiny's objective modes, and still pretty bad in other modes such as elimination when the whole team spawns at once.
