We figured out the mechanics of the first boss fight easily enough (another game that I play had the same exact mechanics in its raid), but the execution was the tough part. I will say though, that if you have your 310 Black Spindle, that encounter can go by A LOT faster. Enjoy it while you can...

We stopped right at the second boss, but in the few seconds that we were at it, I was learning a lot already, so it looks like we're going to be in for something really complex.

It's weird that each encounter left me feeling drained, but eager to press forward. Heck, just starting the raid was a complicated struggle, but definitely a fun one. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

(Dropwise, I have gotten diddly squat, outside of a buttload of engrams, which is a nice consolation prize).

I've been pretty lucky. I've got the Boots, Gauntlets, Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle, and maybe Darkblade's Spite (fusion rifle).

Is it just me or does none of the raid gear show up in the armory?

Darkblade's Spite isn't actually from the Raid. The Raid Fusion Rifle is called Midha's... Something-or-Other.

I felt fortunate to get a few things last night:
Midha's Reckoning (Fusion rifle)
Kingslayer Shell (308, woot!)
Bond of the Wormlore (warlock class item, 304)
My 3 of coins netted me another "The impossible machines" from the first boss.

On a separate week I may have been bummed, but the shell and class item were needed upgrades.

Also, the quest giving out a 310 artifact really helped too.

Nope. Conspiracy Theory-D is a quest reward from doing the chain of 5 vanguard strikes -> 5 heroic strikes -> 1 nightfall strike.

Huh, haven't finished that quest yet (still need to do the nightfall). I don't think I got a shotgun from the singers. If I did I have no idea where it went.

He had, and so was the first person across, but the rest of us figured it out on our own. I loved that part. You should check out the part where I'm leading Destroyo through the final step. :P

Bungie did a great job leaving context clues on what you have to do. It's pretty neat.
