We've gotten the boss man down to 1/4 health, but just didn't have time to finish the fight. Two of our crew have prior commitments with another raid group so we could use some backup.
I think we've gotten all of the mechanics figured out so I don't think we have to worry about surprises. That said, I haven't see the big man die yet, so if there's anything more than a reward screen when his health hits 0, I don't want to know about it.

Yeah. Definitely late notice. Wasn't sure who we were going to have for tonight until it was too late for an event. :(

I'm very glad to hear you guys were able to beat the boss man down. I apologize for having to bail! I was secretly hoping I would be able to join back up with your team later on to finish Oryx a second time.

We were able to finish Oryx after a little while. We wiped twice with a sliver of health left. Once we finally got the hang of it, we managed to kill the big boss man. I got some neat new toys from it which made me happy.

Rock on! We had a pretty similar experience. It took us a little bit to find our rhythm, but we started getting it down. Had one wipe at the very last bit, but came back and finished the job not too long after.
I still haven't scored any armor (unless you count the class item since it has a defense rating now), but I did manage to snag 309 attack versions of the scout and assault rifles! I'm now just the tiniest sliver away from hitting light level 300.

Really cool seeing this from your perspective. As the Relic runner, I didn't really know exactly what was going on with everyone else. Those Ogres go down fast!
