We tend to organically form groups through habits in the fireteam builder. There is a fireteam builder on the right, and if you make an event (give it 3 days at least) it should fill up. And if it doesn't, we spam our friends lists. It usually works out. A good chunk of the Xboners have beaten Crota, so you should do fine!
