I'm back (Destiny)

I mean, I never left the forum. But I am playing Destiny again. Picked up TTK a couple days ago, and have my warlock up to 40 (but light isn't very high yet). Just started playing through TTK story on my hunter, and haven't touched the Titan yet. If you see me online (XBone) and have some time to help, please join up! There are still many things I don't know - I've picked up several items that are keys or triggers to... something, but I don't know what yet.
Thoughts:
1. Story is really good. By the end of the opening cutscene, it was already ahead of vanilla Destiny. And I'm not sure what it is exactly, but the missions seem more interesting and better paced. Something about the way enemies are placed, or the voiceovers... I don't know, but something is better.
2. Luke wasn't kidding about there being lots of mysteries and puzzles on the Dreadnaught. Also, the mission to place beacons was a nice touch.
3. I like the ghost shells and artifacts. Good way to add some further tweaking/fine-tuning to our character setups.
4. Stormcaller seemed a little lackluster at first, but now that I've unlocked a few abilities and learned how to use the super better, it's really fun. Only just unlocked Nightstalker tonight so I really have no idea about that yet.
5. The one negative for me is how many of my treasured exotics are apparently being left behind. I do not understand this at all. :(

Yea, I'm not sure why pretty much all year one stuff was made pretty much moot. The best you can hope for is to have had a year one that transferred over.

Give it time. I felt this way at first, and honestly I don't even think about my Y1 exotics anymore. The new TTK items (Legendary and even Rares) are tits. I even have a couple of the Y2 exotics and don't use them because I've been able to fall in love with a set of legendary weapons and use infusion to constantly keep them updated to my max light level. I love it.
Glad to have you back. I'll certainly hop in and help you with story missions any time that you see me online! I've actually been putting off completing all my quests that require a lot of patrol on the various planets. It's daunting having 2 full pages of quests with none of them even close to completion!
