Preamble: Despite reviews in TG's favour I'd been sticking with DIM lately for the ease of use that comes with Drag and Drop. Lately though I guess the devs have got a bit too clever, as DIM is slow as hell now. As far as I can tell they've got rid of the Cache system where it only kept track of chanfes you made within the extension (with a separate refresh button to force a complete update). Instead, the whole Extension refreshes every time an item is moved, meaning a single Item takes an extra 20 seconds to move. That doesnt seem like a big deal, but that means an extra 40 seconds to move an item between characters, or potentially minutes to move an entire loadout (which used to take seconds!).

Anyway, I bit the bullet and moved over to Tower Ghost. Since the last time I saw I saw it mentioned there's been some very nice updates. Some of my favourites:

• Cache system with Force Refresh button. There's also separate buttons for each character to save time. Even better, you can refresh just weapons or Armour for an even faster refresh. Not enough micromanagement? You can refresh just Primary weapons or boots (or whatever) if you like too.
  
• Stack Separation - When moving items that stack you can choose to move as many as you like (with convenient "just 1" and "Move All" buttons too).
  
• Resource Normalisation - This is one of my absolute favourites. When you select a resource that stacks, there's an option to "Normalise" that resource - essentially it distributes the resource evenly between your characters. It's not just the one stack either - I had 200 Wormspore on 1 Character, 154 on another, and it split to 118 on all 3. Awesome!
  
• Auto-Equip - My other favourite - By clicking on a character's Light Level you can auto-equip you highest Light, Intellect, Discipline or Strength gear. You can also choose to equip whatever combination of gear gives you the most points spread across all three stats. Double Awesome!

Most importantly of all (to me), it's got that drag-and-drop I love so much and it's fast.

if anyone else is like me and hasn't made the move over to Tower Ghost, I fully recommend it.

I use the iOS version almost exclusively, and I'm amazed at how often they update the app--sometimes several times a day.

The auto-equip feature is pretty amazing. It's also handy for loading up on discipline for grenade bounties, for example. I use it every time I come to the Tower to decrypt engrams, and sometimes I've been surprised in that I'm a higher level than I thought.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to take Exotics into account. Presumably they haven't taught it to only allow one Exotic yet (it would have to figure out which slot would benefit most from the one Exotic Allowed).

I have used DIM exclusively this long pretty much because I've had installed on Chrome for a very long time now. If TG has one of these, I'd gladly switch.

It has a Chrome extension, and has for almost as long as DIM has been alive.

My opinion so far: I really, really miss drag 'n' drop. Speed is, so far, making up for it. "Equip gear with highest" feature is awesome.
