I, too, have an Oryx checkpoint. Every time I've done the raid, we get to Oryx and then one or more people need to drop out for one reason or another. I just wanna kill the bastard! Korny is in the same boat as me and said he wants to give it a go tonight.

I couldn't sign up for Kermit's even because it's about two hours too early for me. But between the amount of extra people signed up for the two Oryx Checkpoint events on the FTB for tonight, there are probably at least four extra people. So this is kind of a call to help. I don't really want to make another FTB since there are so many people signed up for one or the other already, so consider this as more of a heads-up that there will be two or three of us trying to fill a team to take down Oryx tonight. I'll probably start sending messages/invites at around 8:30ish (central time), but go ahead and let me know if you want in, and if a later time works better.

That was the problem I've been having, actually. It's hard to join the old Flawless Crew when FTB events fill up so quickly with half the team being people we usually don't run with (not saying anyone should be excluded, just that it's tough to find anyone that I used to play with regularly not already in a full Fireteam). I hop on all the time, see two different raid groups already full or scheduled, and just go back to leveling my Xbox characters, since my PS4 characters are only missing Raid gear.

I have been playing with TheeChaos, Destroyo and their friends, though, which has been fun, even if we haven't been able to drop Oryx (and Chaos abandons us for those aforementioned Raid groups).

I feel like there's a bit of miscommunication going on in this thread. Aren't we all just saying "I like all you guys, I wish I got to play with some of you more often than I currently do"?

I miss playing with our original Flawless Raider group. We had great times together. But when I say that, I'm not saying I'd rather be playing with them than the group I play with now... I'm saying I wish I had more time to play Destiny with ALL my friends :)

Maybe that's not true. I really enjoy playing with people, but I rarely spontaneously join up with them. However I'm always glad when people join me, or invite me to do something when I'm online. I should be better about being more online-gaming outgoing.

So uh, if anyone wants to join me doing something feel free to jump in. Doesn't mean there will be space every time, but often there will be.

I'm pretty rigid in my scheduling for raid times, so for me the FTB is a lifesaver. I've got to plan in advance or I'll likely have other things going on. But it does take the spontanaiety out of things some.

This and other comments (not by you) make me feel like some people kind of got shouldered out a while back ago due to the FTB signups. I'd hate for that to be the case, and for people to feel like they can't sign up because they'd bump a regular. If you're interested in an event, please sign up, even if it's full. Or make a new one. There's been times in the past where we've had multiple groups going at once due to extras signing up then people rallying to fill multiple groups.

Don't be afraid of the FTB. Worst case you won't have a group even if you signed up, being no worse off than you were before.

With the XBox1 crew it seems they're large enough to field 2 raids at the same time. I'm not sure if that's true with the PS4 crew, we probably could, but I have the feeling it'd much more difficult.

I wonder, if we have a standing weekly event (like we had w/ the Nightfall Tuesdays for quite some time) if it wouldn't be beneficial to have a weighted lottery such that those who don't get in on the raid one week will be guaranteed a seat the next?

I'm probably overthinking this like I always do.

... is the fact that most of us are still taking multiple nights to finish the raid. It's a lot easier to jump online and throw a group together for a 30 minute Crota run than it is to put together a team who can commit to 2 or 3 hours at a time over multiple nights. But we're all getting this raid figured out. I'm sure 60-90 minute completion times will be the norm within another couple weeks which will make this stuff easier to manage.

In the meantime, please do feel free to schedule an event! I'm online just about every single night, and typically only have 2 or maybe 3 nights per week booked up with FTB events. I'd be happy to join you if I'm able. I know Sammy still needs to beat Oryx, too. So there's half a fireteam already :)

I'm willing if I haven't been pulled in on a raid. I signed up as an alt on one of them. I'm on the west coast and not available until after 7pm pst (10pm est). I have not been able to get in on any raid stuff so I have no hands on experience.
