It must mean something. Is it confirmed that both times Lost to Light appeared it had the 5 diamond icon? Have their been any other instances of daily heroics with 5 diamond icons but no alternate ending found? We might start having to look harder.

I did the alternate ending this morning. It was pretty nice to bring closure to the search for how to open that gate off to the side of the jumping puzzle. I remember getting over there almost year ago with a bunch of DBO'ers via Feats of Jumping.

The final encounter brings to you to Atheon's Chamber (jungle Venus) dropping you on in the crystal vault area not unlike using the portals in Atheon's final encounter. There is a taken Ultra gatelord and unlimited adds spawning. It's not difficult to solo as there is no timer, and if you have a shoot to loot weapon and a decent sniper you can easily pick off the boss without leaving the crystal throne. It will take some time as it gets the immune buff from nearby Taken, but it flickers so you can time your shots. This coupled with it being invisible and teleporting it can make it hard to get a visual sometimes. Don't forget to use your 3 of Coins!

They could have done alot with this. My hope is that they can somehow (if possible) bring his ghost back to life, and in turn, him. I feel like theres so much to his story, he would be a great addition to the game.

The only problem was we didn't do it in the daily heroic, so they weren't there. We went to the portal, that one rock in the jumping puzzle, the secret path, the spirit bloom door. Looking specifically for these grimoire cards!

We wasted hours in this stupid mission.

Something strange happened while running the mission this morning. I took the hidden path through the Trial of Kabr and found the first ghost. From there, I couldn't figure out how to get through the rest of the path to the templar's well, so I died and respawned back at the first chest location and followed the normal path to the well.

I defeated the first Taken encounter, proceeded through the spirit bloom cave down towards the Gorgon's Cave. But when I got to the location of the 2nd ghost... it wasn't there. I double checked and triple checked, but it wasn't there.

So I restarted the mission. This time I looked at a guide of how to get through the hidden path to the Templar's well. Got the first ghost again, made my way through, beat the Taken in the well. This time the 2nd ghost was there, and I was able to go all the way through and complete the secret ending.

I'm not sure why the 2nd ghost wasn't there on my first attempt. I thought dying might cause problems, except I'd died before getting to the first ghost too, and it was there. Plus I've seen videos of fireteams dying plenty of times and still finding the ghosts (perhaps dying is ok, but wiping is not?).

Another possibility is that I needed to go all the way through the hidden path to the well to trigger the 2nd ghost's appearance.

It's worth noting that I didn't die at all during my successful run.

Any ideas? Anyone else run in to this?

You can't die in a Darkness Zone. Anywhere else should be fine.

If you wipe in a darkness zone the ghosts get reset and you have to do it over.

I never really explored the Trials of Kabr alternate path before today. I definitely backtracked more than few times, and I tried dying outside of a darkness zone to reset myself on the main path without luck too.

The alternate path through Trials of Kabr is platforming heavy and you often need to jump on what appears to be a dead end platform to see the continuation of the path. It drops you out really high to the right (while facing the Templar's Well) of the platform (Templar sniping cheese location). Basically follow anything that looks like platform that is above the open chasm, you'll eventually get to corridor leading to the Well.

...dying after gettting a ghost resets the ghosts. Once you get the first one you have to go through them in order without dying. Or maybe as has been said, not dying in a darkness zone.

We don't seem to actually get anything for doing this mission aside from some Grimoire cards and a little bit of FWC rep... Unless this is just the start of a quest that will continue at some point in the future? Where do we think this is leading? What connection is there between Praedyth and FWC?

Junior and I got all turned around in the labyrinth, and couldn't find the path to the jumping puzzle. Beard joined up and helped us the rest of the way.

Side note: is there a way to the templar's well from the first memory fragment location?? We tried to get there but kept "falling" on ledges we thought were paths. We finally had to resort to sending one person for the memory and one person down the "regular" path to the Well, then pulling the first person along. Seemed unnecessarily cheesy.
