Pulse Rifle Comparisons.... (Hawksaw, Apple, Herja-D). *Vid* (Destiny)
Inspired by TheeChaos's's post, I decided to run with three Bad Juju archetype PRs (oddly enough, as part of the search for a Messenger replacement):
Notes:
I didn't back out of the matches in an attempt to play against the same enemies, but people dropped out, so I doubt I was matched against the same groups.
I did not get any Special or Heavy kills, but I did use melees, grenades, and Supers.
Of the three, Hawksaw was the most stable, Apple the fastest at killing, and Herja felt like it had very little recoil compared to Apple, so headshots were more consistent (and the Hakke 4th shot really benefits from Headseeker), and it had more kills at range than Hawksaw).
Hawksaw pulls hard to the left, so Full Auto is not recommended.
Ultimately, I'd stick with Bad Juju, but if you absolutely want to use a Legendary primary, Apple of Discord seems to be the better option, though I personally don't like it (Herja was more comfortable to use, but the Headseeker helped a bit, since it has a but less range than the Apple).
Hopefully Trials next week grants a Messenger, since that gun's helped me get games like this:

Good Video. Looks like the Apple of Discord isn't so bad. I cannot stand those sights however.
I also noticed that hip firing pulse rifles feels more reliable now, than before. Or maybe I just never tried.

Next time you can buy Lyumidia-D from Banshee
Do it. So. Friggin. Good.

*Emphatic agreement*

Just curious, Are Herja and Apple the same Rof/Impact as BadJuju and Hacksaw? I think they are the next archetype up in impact. Basically the same as the Allfate and the Stranger.
If so, I'm curious if anyone has found a Hakke Pulse that is the same Rof as Bad Juju or even the faster RoF like Oversoul Edict.

I compare all of them to Bad Juju in the video, and while they are all the same archetype, Hawksaw is the most similar to Bad Juju in terms of RoF/Impact. The big difference is that Bad Juju has almost zero recoil, unlike the Hawksaw's left pull.

Hacksaw and BJ have 7 impact while AoD and Herja have 14 impact. They are different archetypes. I know that pre 2.0 update that the 14 impact class would easily two shot kill and they nerfed it slightly to make that very unlikely. The 7 impact class would never two shot kill before or after. I prefer the faster RoF myself because I feel it gives me more room for error. If I miss a round I can fire that next burst quicker than the 14 impact class can.
Edit: I'm reading in between sandwich bites. We must have a different definition for archetype. To me that means weapons of a type with the same RoF/Impact. There are four "archetypes". the Highest Rof/4 impact, Med-high/7 impact, Medium/14 impact, and Slow/30 impact.

Or if Spare Change.25 drops for you in crucible, take it for a test drive. It's got the nearly the same base stats (slightly less stability, faster reload) and it can roll the third eye perk.

Better yet, keep holding your Three Little Words. :)
