Glitches during the Oryx fight (Destiny)
Last night while running the final boss fight we kept having this glitch happen nearing the end of the fight. Basically, every thing would go fine up until our runner went for the 4th relic pickup. Instead of picking the orb up, they would get there and then never be able to get it. This would end up causing us to wipe just before the very end. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?
After our third time of this happening we went to orbit and then came back in and had no issues beating the boss.
I posted on the bungie forums hoping to hear of others with the same issue.

That's happened to my raid team a couple of times - we chalked it up to the platform team being a bit too aggressive on their jumps up to their platforms. I don't think it's happened since we made the next platform person wait for the current platform person to confirm an active platform. Could be a bug, though.

It happens if people jump on the platforms too quickly, I think. Throws the order off by a bit.
Just make sure that nobody jumps on the fourth platform, and that the others space out their jumping by a bit (it's not a race), and you'll be fine.
Also, make sure that your jumper hits every last platform on their way up, without falling off, or jumping back on the same one.

We've been calling out once we've landed on the platforms for the next person to go. It's just strange that it always happened towards the end of the encounter and always at the same platform. I was definitely frustrated with this last night.

It happens if people jump on the platforms too quickly, I think. Throws the order off by a bit.
Just make sure that nobody jumps on the fourth platform, and that the others space out their jumping by a bit (it's not a race), and you'll be fine.
Also, make sure that your jumper hits every last platform on their way up, without falling off, or jumping back on the same one.
We have everything down except I'm not sure on the very last item you listed. I'm pretty sure they never hit the same platform twice, but I could very well be wrong.
Out of order platform jumps
This happened to us constantly during the Deathsingers. If the people do not jump onto the platforms in counterclockwise order, you can never pick up the spark. Of course there were some other delay related glitches so it's hard to say for sure, but failing to pick up the spark was a serious problem for us for the first hour or so.

Out of order platform jumps
That very well could be the case. We would call out when we got on the platforms, so it's just strange for it to mess up 3 times in the exact same time/location

Not a glitch
Someone on your team is jumping on their platform in the wrong order, or jumping off and back on before the next guy gets on at all (causing the orbs to disappear from his platforms, or to never appear in the first place). It's also possible that your runner is failing to touch every one of the orbs on the platforms that lead up to the relic platform. All of those need to be touched in order to charge the relic (I'm assuming this is to prevent some kind of "jumping straight to the relic" cheese that was discovered during testing.
