360 Help (Destiny)
I finally got around to trying to play TTK with my wife last night. Alas, I could not get it to work. Here are the steps I attempted to follow:
1. Log into the xbox upstairs (where I originally purchase the licenses for TTK, TDB, and HOW) with both of our accounts. Hers on the first controller and mine on the second.
2. Have her account login to Destiny. Confirm that she can access the first mission of TTK.
3. Sign out of my account, she is still waiting in orbit after this.
4. Go downstairs and login to my account. (She's still waiting in orbit.)
5. Sign in to Destiny. This strangely causes my wife's account to get logged out of xbox live!
I'm going to try calling MS for support this weekend, but does anyone else have experience with this? I may have to give up on playing Destiny and just pickup a game with real splitscreen play from now on. :/

Odd
That is the exact process Rellekh and I use on the 360 to get her in. Definitely call MS on this BS.

Odd
Yeah, I tried chatting with their "support" last night. The person kept trying to tell me that I wasn't authorized to do this even though that is BS. I finally gave up and vowed to call during business hours to get a US citizen instead of someone who can barely speak english.

Am I missing something? I'm unfamiliar with this sign-in method you're using, but it sounds like you're trying to abuse a login permissions loophole to pirate a license, in which case their response isn't shocking.

Nope

Xbox 360 Digital Games
How many consoles can I use a game on and who can use it?
You can use games on the first Xbox 360 console you downloaded it to. Access to the game will also be granted to all users on the first console. If you transfer the game using a memory unit or other storage device, you will also be able to use it on other Xbox 360 consoles, but you’ll need to sign in to Xbox Live with your account on that console before accessing the game.
At least according to the usage rules this is legit.

Curious.
So, in my case I don't have to do any of this double signing in to make this work. My wife only plays on the console I've bought the game on. She just signs in and she can play, no problem. I play on the other one no problem. We haven't tried it since TTK, though, so I can't really test this. I can try signing my wife's account in to see if she can play it tonight. That being said, we no longer have 2 360s hooked up so I won't be able to sign myself on the other device to test both accounts.

Oh, duh.
Whoops, obviously it's like that, since they support both play from other consoles and offline home play.
I guess your double sign-in thing is what confused me. Is there any reason that the account on the home console can't log into TTK normally? Maybe the weird login circumstances are confusing XBL and actually causing the error through some obscure bug?

Seems to be a known issue since launch
Seems like there are quite a few users who have run into this issue since launch. It may be that MS needs Bungie to make some kind of fix but so far nothing has happened. Most people have been able to work around the issue by logging in with their account on the xbox and then logging off and going to the other xbox. This is very dissapointing to me since I bought Destiny to play it with my wife despite it not having split-screen play and I've now sunk over $200 on the game (2 x $60 for original discs + $40 for the expansion pass + $40 for TTK). My wife likes to play Destiny with me but she doesn't like it nearly as much as Halo: Reach so I'm thinking if they can't get things working for us it's going to be time to move to a new game that we enjoy playing together more.

Is the process you described the same you successfully performed before TTK?
I'm confused on what's missing in the equation...

It is different with TTK than previous downloads

Seems to be a known issue since launch
Prior to TTK you didn't need to do this. After TTK, my wife and I have to do this complicated loggin in and out method. It isn't a problem on the XBONE (we share her license on those) but it is a problem on the 360 where we share my license.

Another option:
I'm still confused by the situation but if another 360 copy of the game would help, I'd be happy to send you mine. I'd have to clear out a lot of data to be able to fit the massive TTK on my 360 so the disc is just sitting here collecting dust. You're in the area so you qualify for Leviathan shipping too!
The only downside is that it rules out the option of me playing with you, hah, but that's better than nobody playing! :)

Another option:
Wwe already have two Destiny discs, so I don't think that would help anyway, but thanks.

360 Help
I tried deleting the license this morning and redownloading TTK. Seems to be working now of I do the login/out dance.

Lovely to hear!
