SGA: Raid pulse rifle is < Red Death (Destiny)
I played 3 matches with the raid pulse, fully levelled, and was seeing, at the same range, about 1/3 the headshots that I was seeing with red death. Making red death easily the better gun. The raid pulse has better stability and range. The recoil seems more erratic where red death's is pretty predictable too.
So, the base stats are nearly identical, and the raid pulse has some decent stat modifiers to make it look, on paper, to having a clear advantage.
I mean, it should be obvious, the exotic is better than the legendary. But that's not been the case in the past. Appears to be true here.
Also a note of caution... I sacrificed a 310 suros to a 305 red death and ended up with a 309 red death. :/ Just in case anyone else ends up trying to go from 305 up. I know it's 80% but I thought the threshold was 5 or 6, not 4.

The threshold is 5, except for Exotics.

Any gun is < Red Death

I think Exotics only up 70% and might have lower threshold

... but why?!

Oh Destiny, lol

... but why?!
Yeah, who the hell knows?
I think half of Destiny's algorithms were written by kittens sprawling across keyboards.
... but why?!
Kittens are way cuter than the traditional monkeys.

Exactly!
If they're using monkeys, it's just stupid and inexcusable.
But who could be mad at them for having hundreds of kittens roaming the Bungie offices, even if they do roam all over the keyboards and screw things up?

I have never liked monkeys.

Meanwhile, at Bungie . . .
They're hard at work fixing Iron Banner drop rates.
